Greta Gerwig In The Row – 2018 Met Gala

Greta Gerwig attended the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

Even with the oversized proportions of this voluminous ball gown by The Row, it wasn’t hard to see the nun-inspired connotations in the black-and-white robe silhouette.

However, to avoid getting too nun-like, she stuck with a subtle tiara instead of the traditional headdress.

Greta Gerwig In Delpozo – Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers Event And Believe In Dreams Campaign Launch

Greta Gerwig joined Elle Fanning, Zendaya Coleman and Kendall Jenner at the Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers event and Believe In Dreams campaign launch on Thursday (May 3) in New York City.

The ‘Lady Bird’ director had an amazing run during awards season, giving us a variety of looks, but for me this Delpozo Fall 2018 beats them all hands down.

This was one of my favourite looks of the entire Fall 2018 season, so I’m ecstatic to see it worn so beautifully here.

While the look is Couture-like in its creation, I’m not sad to see the removal of the signature floral belt. In this setting it may have been too overwhelming and overly fussy for Greta.

Sleek Giuseppe Zanotti Harmony sandals were the perfect way to round out this look, along with Tiffany & Co. subtle earrings.

Greta Gerwig In Gucci – 2018 Time 100 Gala

Greta Gerwig continue her Fall mood for the 2018 Time 100 Gala on Tuesday (April 24) in New York City.

The ‘Isle Of Dogs’ actress wore a Gucci Pre-Fall 2018 dress crafted from moody violet velvet which celebrates the house’s love for opulence.

Large crystal embellishments inspire a vintage feel that’s part of Alessandro Michele’s vocabulary, but it was the Lady Bird buttons – a homage to her Directorial role in the Oscar nominated film – which I found the most charming.

Miscast 2018 Honors Laurie Metcalf

Lovely ladies stepped out at Miscast 2018 to honor Laurie Metcalf on Monday (March 26) in New York City.

Greta Gerwig: In The Row, the ‘Lady Bird’ director embraced the clean, minimalist lines of suiting. The masculine air of the sharp-shouldered style was tempered with the nipped waist and her decision to style it sans shirt. Her clutch and shoes added shine.

Laurie Metcalf: There will no doubt be comparisons between the two looks given their similarities. The lady of the hour opted for a more formfitting style with skinny trousers and a two-button jacket. She could have used the opportunity to wear something dramatic, but didn’t. Some might consider it a missed opportunity, but there’s something inviting about the pared-black style.

Greta Gerwig In Proenza Schouler – ‘Isle Of Dogs’ New York Screening

Greta Gerwig was back on the red carpet at the ‘Isle Of Dogs’ New York screening on Tuesday (March 20), where she joined Tilda Swinton.

The Academy Award-nominated director embraced a darker mood in a Proenza Schouler Fall 2018 look.

Many love seeing her celebrate a romantic, whimsical sentiment, as we witnessed during awards season, so I am curious to see how this outfit will go down.

The separates have a richness from the soft sheen in the opulent fabrics, demonstrating that black can photograph beautifully.

The grommets on the belt add a toughness and echo the molten gold hues of the top.

The ensemble has made me even more curious to see what she will wear at her next appearance.

Open-toe booties and a Mark Cross bag completed her look.

Greta Gerwig In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Greta Gerwig also headed to the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscars party after the Academy Awards on Sunday (March 4) in Los Angeles.

After her sunny Rodarte ceremony look, the best director nominee opted for a Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture gown.

At first glance, this dress seems quite simple, but the fabric is actually crafted in panels to create a petal shape, which was really visually exciting. The movement was incredible as Greta walked.

While I think many would think to wear a solid clutch in a contrasting color, the black-and-white checkered box clutch Greta chose was a bit more funky and fit, and I’m here for it.

Greta Gerwig In Rodarte – 2018 Oscars

Greta Gerwig was a bright spot on the red carpet of the 2018 Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 4).

The history-making nominee wore a custom Rodarte gown while a unique diamond and sapphire necklace.

It is no secret that bright yellow is my favorite color for the red carpet, and this has to be the richest, bright yellow I’ve ever seen. You know what that means? I’m in love! Of course, the delicate appliqués and beading don’t hurt anything, either!

Staying true to her indie princess style, Greta’s waved short bob is modern and chic.

Are you as much of a fan of this cheerful look as I?

Greta Gerwig In Rosie Assoulin – 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Greta Gerwig presented a very summery outlook for the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (March 3) in Santa Monica, California.

Vintage glamour is fully captured in this Rosie Assoulin Spring 2018 open back dress.

While I like how the white lace embroidery gives the look extra feminine definition, I wasn’t a huge fan of how the dress looked from the side, as it felt like too much was going and the lines didn’t flow so freely, possibly due to the pleating at the back.

Greta Gerwig In Jonathan Cohen – 2018 BAFTAs

After a string of striking looks, I was very much looking forward to seeing what Greta Gerwig was going to wear to the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England.

She joined Lily James, Angelina Jolie and Gemma Arterton in showing solidarity with the Time’s Up movement with a black gown.

Like Leslie Bibb, she accented her black Jonathan Cohen Fall 2018 dress with a bit of colour.

The column style has been decorated with oversized floral appliqués which picked up the light with every turn.

The bold detailing brings to mind 1960’s florals, but the darker colours create a moodier effect for a modern finish.

Chanel & Charles Finch Pre-Bafta Dinner

Lovely ladies celebrated awards season at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Bafta Dinner at Mark’s Club on Saturday (February 17) in London, England, where they were outfitted in charming Chanel pieces for the occasion.

Tessa Thompson: The BAFTA Rising Star Award nominee looked sweet in a Chanel Spring 2018 ensemble with its white and yellow tweed evoking a cheerful summer sentiment. The jovial mood was kept up with her twisted topknot, white shoes and red lip.

Poppy Delevingne: The model also embraced the designer’s signature fabric with a seafoam and pale blue Spring 2018 ensemble. The silhouette and chevron seams are quiet details so it was wise of her to not overdo the accessories. Like Tessa, her high updo added youthful fun to the tailored pieces.

Greta Gerwig: The ‘Lady Bird’ director, who is nominated for best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAs, swept me away with her Chanel Spring 2018 dress. It’s playful with the tinsel-like fringing creating captivating dimension. My only gripe is the black shoes feel a bit heavy against the rest of the ensemble.

Greta Gerwig In Gucci – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Photocall

Greta Gerwig continues to captivate on the red carpet as she attended the ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Photocall on Thursday (February 15) in Berlin, Germany, where she joined Tilda Swinton.

Prior to her whimsical Valentino outing at the opening ceremony of the festival, the ‘Lady Bird’ director wore a patterned Gucci shirtdress for day.

There has been no shortage of Gucci on the red carpet, but I found this a refreshing choice not least for the white colour palette but because of its more casual nature.

It exudes polish and elegance from the classic silhouette, but the way the sophisticated style has been subverted with the designer print is modern and in keeping with her flair for the romantic and whimsical.

The white pumps with colourful straps lent a coordinated finish.
