Lily Allen Turns Her Duke of York Theatre Exits Into A Runway Part Two

Lily Allen’s exit from The Duke of York’s Theatre, where she is starring in ‘The Pillowman,’ continues to be like fashion week for me.

I love this sensual moment in this striking poppy red Victoria Beckham draped lace-appliquéd satin midi dress.

Not only for the directional silhouette, I also love the contrasting statement appliqué floral motifs which adds to the beautiful romantic feel.

I was happy to see a red lip here, although I wasn’t completely sold on the white Victoria Beckham signature chain accented pouch clutch.

I think this is fatigue on my part, as it feels like we see this clutch with every VB look.

Of all the looks on this page, this Clio Peppiatt ensemble feels closest to Lily’s fun-loving rebellious style.

If this was a daytime look, I would have said no to the Louboutin boots, but all these exits are at night.

My favourite part of this look is the Clio Peppiatt Cherry Heart Quartz bag.

It’s not often that a Prince of Wales check suit feels so modern, but the cut, and the slight crop of the jacket, pushed this Alessandra Rich Spring 2023 look into this direction, along with the styling.

I could picture the Princes of Wales wearing this without the asymmetrical cuts, and with a pair of her famous Gianvito Rossi pumps, whereas Lily opted for Jimmy Choo’s gold Max platform sandals.

What a beautiful union of two British icons.

Vivienne Westwood’s corseted dresses will never go out of style for me.  I feel like I have been saying that for the last decade, which I probably have.

At once sexy and elegant at the same time.

When it comes to this Lurline look, I like the wave detailed corset, but I wasn’t sold on the heaviness of the leather skirt.

Lily has had plenty of hits in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, but I don’t think this dress does anything for her, both in terms of style and colour.
