Sydney Sweeney Wore Vintage Mugler To The 2022 HCA TV Awards

Sydney Sweeney joined Sarah Paulson on the red carpet for the 2nd Annual HCA TV Awards held at The Beverly Hilton on Saturday (August 13) in California.

The actress wore Thierry Mugler 1981 Haute Couture emerald-green dress with De Beers jewels.

This ‘Vampire’ dress is a very special design. Mostly because of the signature cut and pointed detailing.

And also because this is fast becoming the most worn vintage dress of all time.

Zara Larsson wore it to the 2016 MTV Awards.

Dua Lipa wore it while hosting SNL back in 2020.

For the 2021 VMAs Daniela Lalita brought it back, and just a month later, Natalie Portman wore the same dress for the LA Dance Project’s annual gala the same year.

It’s a beautiful dress, and I honestly don’t mind seeing it again.  

Thierry Mugler’s archive has always been limited when it comes to red carpet appearances.

I remember us all being surprised that Cardi B was honoured with wearing so many looks during the 2019 Grammys.

I would imagine that since the designer’s passing that even less celebrities will be granted access to the rest of his archive.
