Cannes Film Festival Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

We are not going to forget the men who graced the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this week, and naturally I must start with Joe Alwyn.
The actor, who was attending the premiere of his film ‘The Stars At Noon,’ looked so very handsome wearing a Celine Homme Fall 2022 look.
My menswear baseline at Cannes will always be Ryan Gosling, and look is of the same ilk in terms of being supremely elegant, and formal without being stuffy.
I never can resist a man who rocks a cummerbund.

If only he got the shoes right for the photocall earlier today, as his ivory cotton Prada suit was the perfect look for a sunny day on the French Riviera.

Austin Butler, who stars as Elvis Presley in his upcoming film, also wore Celine Homme on the night it was announced he is the latest Cartier ambassador.
His tuxedo is very luxe and classic. There’s definitely a James Bond, English gentleman aesthetic going on here.

Following the ‘Top Gun’ Cannes premiere, Danny Ramirez joined his ‘The Stars At Noon’ co-star Joe Alwyn at their premiere wearing a Dior by Kim Jones black oblique suit contrasted with a pink silk shirt.

Alton Mason, who plays Little Richard in ‘Elvis’ (casting masterstroke), rocked up to the red carpet giving us his unique spin on tailoring wearing a Pressiat suit, as we would expect.
Never have I seen a blazer contour the waist like this. I’m going to have to find out who his tailor is.
His colourful snakeskin boots added yet more personality to this look, not that it needed anymore.
Messika jewels completed his look.

Tom Sturridge always appears to be wearing the same thing on the red carpet – a classic black suit – yet subtle things such as the bolo tie and semi-sheer shirt set this Saint Laurent look apart from his other outings.

Michele Morrone gave us a masterclass in sprezzatura, that innately Italian elegance, wearing this double-breasted chocolate brown pin-stripes suit from Dolce & Gabbana.

Channelling his inner Ronnie and Reggie Kray, Joel Edgerton attended the premiere of ‘Boy From Heaven’ with his fashion director partner Christine Centenera, wearing a very sleek Louis Vuitton tuxedo.
