‘The Innocent’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a roundup from âThe Innocentâ Cannes Film Festival premiere, which took place on Tuesday (May 24) in France.
I havenât been excited about a Cara Delevingne red carpet look for quite some time.
That changed when she arrived in this custom Balmain bandage silhouette gown inspired by the Spring 2022 collection.
This is how you rise to the occasion.
Her familiar attitude is there, but style-wise everything has been elevated and amplified to make this one of the stand-out looks of the night.
Speaking of stand-out looks, Brazilian model Izabel Goulart has finally entered the Cannes Film Festival chat.
Her fiery Ashi Studio Spring 2022 Couture red two-piece look accented with feathers was a little unexpected â not that Iâm complaining â as we are so used to her different version of the same Julian MacDonald nearly naked, embellished dresses.
This is a huge win for her, as she proves you donât need to reinvent the wheel to present something fresh at Cannes.
Chopard jewels completed her look.
Natasha Poly clearly knows how to sell a gown.
She looked ethereal in this custom Balmain creation.
I much prefer Louise Bourgoinâs Schiaparelli Spring 2022 Haute Couture look in black, as I think itâs more impactful and amplifies the gold sculptural accent.
BĂ©rĂ©nice Bejo didnât sell this Alexis Mabille Fall 2021 Haute Couture look as the model did.
A great opportunity which fell flat for me.
Agathe Rousselle lets us know that sheâs playing it safe this year wearing this Louis Vuitton silk satin dress which is hard to believe is LV, as Iâve never seen anything from the brand that is this minimalist.
British model Jourdan Dunn was pretty in pink wearing an Ashi Studio Spring 2022 Couture gown.
The light pink runway look was modified, probably because the designer didnât want two similar looks on this red carpet, or Jourdan herself wanted to showcase her gorgeous legs.
I have a feeling that some won’t like her Roger Vivier platform mules, but you know I love a mathcy moment.
Her look was complete with jewels from Boucheron.
Coco Rocha returned to the red carpet wearing a Pinko off-the-shoulder gown which is nice enough, but feels quite tame for someone like Coco.
We expected a big splash, this was a droplet.
Madison Headrick proves just how divine a cut-out gown with a simple silhouette can be wearing this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Spring 2022 velvet black dress accented with crystal trims.
When it comes to Marina FoĂŻs’ Louis Vuitton Resort 2023 blistered jacquard look, sheâs not selling it to me.
Iâm not familiar with her style, but this feels too juvenile for her, plus the footwear doesnât match the mood of the outfit.
Italian model Paola Turani wore an electric pink Georges Chakra Spring 2022 Couture silk taffeta ball gown styled with the Messika necklace weâve seen several times at this festival.
That pleated bodice looks so unfinished.
Claire Holt and embellished dresses are going hand-in-hand at this festival. On this occasion she was sparkling in this purple Genny Fall 2022 plunging neckline dress.
Bvlgari High Jewellery pieces completed her look.
AdĂšle Exarchopoulos switched things up from Fendi, to this custom Coperni dress, but all I see is her breath-taking necklace.
Rene Caovilla Ellabrita sandals completed her look.
Isabelle Huppert wore another Balenciaga look for this festival, but on this occasion she was overwhelmed by the fabric as this dress looks too long for her.
I’m glad Sophie Marceau added a cape and a selection of Chopard jewels to this look, as I was not a fan of the dropped crotch on her jumpsuit.
