Michael Kors Collection @ The 2022 Met Gala
Michael Kors dressed Eiza González, Ciara, Lori Harvey, Anok Yai, Sara Sampaio, Rianne Van Rompaey and Sigourney Weaver for the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City
Eiza González’s custom Michael Kors Collection white scattered-crystal halter gown with feather embroidery and a matching feather-embroidered jacket is the brand of Old Hollywood glamour we would expect from the actress, and the designer.
Pretty, while being pretty predicable.
On anyone else this custom Michael Kors Collection black tulle one-shoulder is just ok.
On Ciara it’s just too run-of-the-mill for someone of her stature and sartorial prowess at this event.
Lori Harvey’s custom Michael Kors Collection cut-out gown is very on brand for the socialite, but not a trace of the theme was to be had.
Anok Yai is so striking.
Every time I see her I’m dazzled by the smoothness of her skin and her facial features, but on this occasion her fuchsia Michael Kors Collection scattered-sequin satin ballgown captured my attention first.
This was easily one of the favourites of the night, for the style and colour alone.
Of all the Michael Kors Collection dresses on this red carpet, Sara Sampaio’s rose-gold crepe cut-out halter gown was giving me the biggest case of déjà dress.
It immediately made me think of Emily Blunt’s 2013 Golden Globe Awards gown.
Speaking of Emily Blunt, Rianne Van Rompaey bears an uncanny resemblance.
This custom Michael Kors Collection crimson tuxedo jacket reminded me of Finneas Givenchy look from last year’s event, based on the top to toe red hue with a touch of sparkle.
Despite the longer-than-they-needed-to-be trousers, this was one of my favourites from this group.
Sigourney Weaver let the sparkles on her custom Michael Kors Collection chocolate scattered-sequin gown do all the talking.
