Penelope Cruz Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The 2022 Goya Awards

Penelope Cruz attended the 2022 Goya Awards with her husband Javier Bardem on Saturday (February 12), at a ceremony held at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain.

Like Nieves Álvarez, Penelope Cruz’s arrival is much anticipated.

Unlike Nieves, I wasn’t blown away.

This embellished Chanel Spring 2021 Haute Couture gown is beautiful, but I much prefer the tea length on the runway.

I’m guessing the reason the dress was lengthened (or appears lengthen because Penelope is shorter than the model), was to prevent the look from feeling too twee.

But between the colour, style, and embellishments there was no escaping that in this piece.

If you wanted to prevent a twee outing, this dress shouldn’t have been a consideration, so I would’ve preferred the shorter length.
