Milena Smit Wore Balmain To The 2022 Goya Awards
Milena Smit joined her ‘Parallel Mothers’ co-star Penelope Cruz on the red carpet for the 2022 Goya Awards held at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain on Saturday (February 12).
Throughout their promo tour, there was a clear distinction between their styles.
Penelope’s classic style was presented in a series of Chanel looks, while Milena served up her unique brand of neo goth.
Olivier Rousteing understood the assignment when he created this custom Balmain Atelier two-piece look.
On the brands Instagram they said, ‘The look features a custom crop top created using flexible silicone and gold leaf technique inspired by the Japanese kintsugi technique of embracing imperfection, completed with a silk ballgown skirt drawing from the couture tradition of those crafted in Crinoline in the 19th Century.”
Some of you weren’t so enamoured by her red cut-out dress from Mônot, but I’m sure you’ll be swept away by the beauty and elegance imbued within this look.
The ballgown might not capture the attention, but I love the juxtaposition of the powerful armour cop with the daintiness of the skirt.
Cartier jewels completed her look.
