Aliétte @ The 2021 Met Gala

Stylist Jason Rembert’s fashion label Aliétte was represented at the Costume Institute Gala that celebrated the opening of the exhibition ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (September 13) in New York with four attendees.
A red gown will never not be breath-taking. Venus Williams, Megan Fox and Jennifer Hudson proved that on the night.
Now we can add Sloane Stephens and her custom Aliétte balloon sleeve gown to that illustrious list.
However, if I was to nitpick, I would’ve loved this even more without the high neckline.

Ilana Glazer, who hosted the pre-event red carpet, wore a custom Aliétte camouflage tulle gown with hand beaded feathered sleeves.

I was particularly enamoured by this look when I saw the open back.

Kehlani rocked a 70s’ inspired two-tone hairstyle for her Met Gala debut.
Her Aliétte suit – covered in 70,000 Swarovski crystals – had a decidedly ’80 aesthetic on account of the sharp shoulders and short cropped silhouette of the jacket.
This was a fun way to infuse decades past into one look.

It warmed my heart to see fellow stylist Law Roach support Jason by wearing this custom Aliétte leather jacket and silk faille skirt.
This man has the keys to just about any fashion house, but he opted to shine a light on a fellow stylist and creator.
