Dundas @ The 2021 Met Gala
Dundas was represented at the Costume Institute Gala that celebrated the opening of the exhibition ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (September 13) in New York with an additional five attendees, who joined Ciara.
While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Megan Fox’s VMAs look, her custom Dundas crimson-red Art-Deco inspired patterned embellished gown presented an elevated version of her signature sex appeal while channeling American icon Bettie Page.
Was it the colour, the embellishments, the lace-up detail, the open back, or the high slit?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. Plus, her ruby Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Jimmy Choo ‘Max’ sandals completed her jaw-dropping look.
I was happy to see her make her Met Gala debut by herself on Monday night.
Mary J. Blige wore a custom Dundas Nirvana gown.
Did you catch the American Flag theme?
The stripes are prevalent, but the stars which are scattered along the gown were less noticeable.
This is the most MJB dress that MJB has worn. Do you agree?
I don’t know what I’m drawn to more.
Adrienne Warren’s gorgeous custom Dundas Swarovski crystal trimmed white dress, her smile or her hair.
A win from head-to-toe.
Indigenous model, activist, Quannah Chasinghorse wore a Dundas x Revolve gown.
What made this gold lamé gown special, was the authentic Navajo turquoise and silver jewelry proving that accessories can never be overlooked, as this look wouldn’t have been so impressive without it.
I was very surprised by Anitta who wore this custom Dundas X Revolve black dress, because her style is usually more high octane and in your face than this.
With that being said, I was happy to see her turn the volume down a notch.
