Eva Green Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The 2020 Cesar Film Awards

When the pictures of the 2020 Cesar Film Awards started coming in from Paris on Thursday (February 28), I was expecting a whole host of well-known actress to hit the red carpet alongside Eva Green.

Last year at the Salle Pleyel we saw Melanie Thierry, Kristin Scott Thomas, Virginie Ledoyen and Elodie Bouchez.

Marion Cotillard even attended this years photocall, but she didn’t attend the main event, leaving Eva as the only global recognizable face at this event.

And she gave us what we wanted: gothic drama, courtesy of this black Chanel Fall 2017 Haute Couture dress.

Would the look have been better had the sleeves been so long, and if she had opted to do something more with her hair?

Absolutely.

But there is no doubting the fire Eva brings to the red carpet despite those slight letdowns.

It’s a nice, fun and interesting dress. Could they have done it with a different fabric? I sound like a broken record, I know.

Sigh, I wish I had this witchy goth dress. I love it.

Ah…. I didn’t know about that. I just looked it up and an actress walked out when he won his award.

Now it makes sense. Because even if Marion isn’t nominated, she ALWAYS attends this event, same as Melanie Thierry and Elodie Bouchez.

Its a fun witchy look. Perfect for her vibe. And probably only for her vibe.

I love Eva’s gothic vibe, but the dress looks creased and it turns me down.

I think that the dress looks cheap

She has a gothic charm that helps with this gown so it doesn’t translate as awkwardly costumey on the red carpet.

I wonder whether the absences were due to Roman Polanski’s nominations?
