Salma Hayek Attends ‘The Roads Not Taken’ Berlinale Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Salma Hayek Attends ‘The Roads Not Taken’ Berlinale Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Salma Hayek joined Elle Fanning for ‘The Roads Not Taken’ Berlinale Film Festival photocall on Wednesday (February 26) before attending the premiere later in the day.

Whereas Elle couldn’t have been more sweet and frothy and spring-like, Salma took a decidedly darker route — starting with the photocall.

There was a certain kind of mystique tied up in this Alexander McQueen Resort 2020 chiffon look, rendered in black instead of hot pink. Despite the sheer quality, there was a lot of dress happening here. But, the necklaces and belt created some dimensionality and visual interest.

This premiere outing was so elegant for Salma. I love seeing her in a streamlined gown without too many bells and whistles and just a nod to bling and embellishment. It felt effortless yet sophisticatedly composed at the same time.

Both looks are lovely. I actually wish she had gone with the pink in the first as it is just too much black blending together with that volume of fabric. The pink shows the design better. And I love how she showcases her Mexican heritage with both picks without being costume-y. <3

2nd with no thought. Usually don’t like much for her styling but this’s is good.

I don’t really like the photocall look but she’s worn much worse.

And she looks incredible in the Première! As you said, Catherine: this gown looks effortless when she is usually trying too hard, but at the same time sophisticated and embellished enough for a big festival première. Styling, make up and hair are perfect. Chef’s kiss!

Do we know who made the première gown?
