Saoirse Ronan In Gucci – 2020 Oscars

Well, I’m not sure what I was expecting of Saoirse Ronan at the 2020 Oscars on Sunday (February 9) in LA. But, it wasn’t this.

First of all, the ‘Little Women’ actress surprised us by debuting a playful set of bangs, which is fine.

But, it’s her Gucci dress that really perplexed me. I couldn’t look away, actually — for all the wrong reasons.

I do feel a bit badly critiquing it, as it is said to be a faint nod to sustainable fashion, as Gucci used the same black fabric as that in her dress last weekend.

But, it looks as if they ran out of it. Because, why else use a wood-grain, periwinkle tablecloth for the skirt? And, why just the massive peplum in the front and not the back?

Once again, her look was lovely from the shoulders up with a modern ode to glamour in both hair and Gucci jewels.
