Front Row @ Tom Ford Fall 2020

Tom Ford may only dress one person per event when it comes to awards season, but he sure does know how to attract an A-List crowd to his runway  shows.

They flocked to the front row at Milk Studios in LA on Friday (February 7), to get a first look at the outfits which will be gracing the red carpet in 2020.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Was this purple ombre Tom Ford v neck gown with matching ombre floor length cardigan a tad OTT to be sat in the front row during New York Fashion Week?  Not in my eyes.  Especially when the end result is this breath-taking.

She look like a goddess, giving us pure glamour, a moto that Tom Ford himself stands by.  A Tom Ford purple satin clutch and matching pumps completed her BDOTW worthy look.

Kate Hudson:  I’m not at all opposed to another outing of the Tom Ford Spring 2020 chromed anatomical breast plate which received fame on the back (or front) of Zendaya, as the plate is different, and the colour is in lime green.

You weren’t fans of Zendaya’s skirt, and I feel that dislike will be intensified with this look. My biggest objection is the black blazer.  It just doesn’t go with the look. It needed to also be in green, sequinned or no blazer at all.

Ciara:  After two outings of baggy clothes, the singer gave us a glimpse of her bump in this classic fitted Tom Ford black dress.

Jennifer Lopez:  Despite not being nominated, I’m sure we will see plenty of Jennifer Lopez during Oscar weekend.  The actress opted for a surprisingly simple look – probably exhausted from her Super Bowl performance – wearing a peplum detail LBD.  I like the dress, but I’m not a fan of the crystal peep toe platforms which do not feel as luxe as the rest of the look.

Kylie Jenner:  I was slightly surprised to see Kylie front row, but I wasn’t surprised by her outfit choice.  The mogul wore a silver Tom Ford embroidered hexagon dress with black laser cut details and Tom Ford black and gold lipstick box clutch which was perfectly suited to her style.

Renée Zellweger:  The lady who is likely to take home the Best Actress Oscar, is front row of Tom Ford two days before the event?

Us amateur conspiracy theorist would say that she’s likely to be wearing Tom Ford on Sunday night.

I can’t say I’m in love with the pattern on her lace pencil skirt, but I love that Tom Ford has been the first get the actress to change a habit of a lifetime, and cover those shoulders.

Andrea Riseborough:  The actress has gone through many metamorphosis’.  I honestly didn’t recognise her here.  The actress looks like she just stepped off the set of Cluedo, where she was playing Miss Scarlett wearing a red Tom Ford velvet dress which has so many intriguing details.  Sadly, the accessories were at total odds with the dress, and each other.

Catherine O’Hara:  I absolutely love the bad b*tch energy I’m getting from Catherine in this Tom Ford croco embossed patent leather look, which she styled with a Tom Ford ‘001’ bag and platform shoes.

Miley Cyrus:  As much as I love Miley in this Tom Ford jumpsuit, styled with a Tom Ford ‘TF’ detailed clutch.  My first thought was that I wish she had worn Kate Hudson’s look.

Billie Lourd:  I was surprised by Billie’s choice in this Tom Ford  LBD, but the feather embroidery kept things interesting.

Hunter Schafer:  The same applies to Hunter.  The actress is usually more daring, but I’m not mad at this Tom Ford laminated jersey gown

Tracee Ellis Ross:  The multi coloured kapow embroidery prevent her sheer Tom Ford cape dress from feeling too sheer.
