Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Phew…it’s been a long week, and we still have the Spirit Awards later today, before the Oscars and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party tomorrow.

But before we wrap up the week’s events, we have to pay homage to the stylish gents who hit the red carpet this week.

Lil Nas X:  Even in his wildest moments, the entertainer is always good value. If I didn’t know better, I would say this Tom Ford red embroidered peak lapel suit was custom made. It suits his love for colour, embellishment and dare to be different attitude.  Tom Ford Chelsea boots completed his look.

Matt Bomer:  Our best dressed man from last week joined Jessica Biel on the red carpet for ‘The Sinner’ season 3 premiere. Sticking to an purple/eggplant colour story in Paul Smith, I love how the look is imbued with plenty of personality (a signature of any Paul Smith look) thanks to the shirt. I feel like a printed shirt is more effective than a printed tie.  What do you think?

Luka Sabbat: Despite all the glamorous models at the amfAR New York Gala, Luka really caught my eye at this event.  Looking like he should be part of the Kravitz-Bonet family, the model – who was born into a fashion family with his interior decorator grandmother, fashion stylist mother and fashion designer father – was clearly born with good taste.  This Rick Owens blazer, vest and flared trouser might seem like an easy fit, but you have to have some swagger to pull this off, which Luka does in spades.

Jason Momoa:  I love how his simple turtleneck and trousers are given a more rugged look with the rust Tom Ford suede western jacket.

Diplo:  I don’t mind the DJ’s western-inspired aesthetic, but this interpretation is really sloppy for me.  The fit on the trousers being the biggest faux pas here.

Jon Hamm:  What do I like about his Tom Ford sky-blue silk suit, teal silk rib turtleneck and sneaker combo?  The fact that Jon Hamm took a rare step leap outside his comfort-zone.  What do I dislike about it?  Practically everything.  Save this shiny suit for P Diddy.

Matt Bomer:  Chocolate brown Tom Ford?  Yes please.

Rob Lowe:  When you are hanging out with your 25 year old son, and you look like brothers, it’s time to start considering selling the secrets to being ageless.  I mean, how many 55 year olds do you know who look this good in Tom Ford leather pants?

Patrick Schwarzenegger: I’m not the biggest fan of cropped pictures, but I really love the mix of stripes, check and Prince of Wales check that has been incorporated into the actors Tom Ford total look.

Joe Alwyn:  The British actor has been wearing a lot of Tom Ford lately, so I wasn’t surprised to see him front row at this event.  Like Matt Bomer, chocolate brown was the colour of choice on this occasion.
