Lily James In Valentino Haute Couture – The Fashion Awards 2019

Following the 2019 British Independent Film Awards, Lily James also attended The Fashion Awards 2019 held at Royal Albert Hall on Monday (December 2) in London.

The contrast in styles couldn’t be more different, but that’s what I’m finding so exciting about Lily’s style at present.

While Lily has been synonymous with one brand – Burberry – she’s also been closely affiliated with Valentino as well.

Her most notable looks have come from the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, and ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ Guernsey premiere.

What those two looks had in common was light airy elegance, whereas this Valentino Fall 2019 Haute Couture look, has a bit more of an edge.

This is possibly due to the smoldering makeup, or that this white crepe dress featuring an oversized gold leather bow feels so directional on Lily, whereas it may not have the same striking effect on Lady Gaga for example.

There are many looks, which I will feature as many as possible today and tomorrow, but this was one of the stand outs for me.
