Front Row @ Christian Dior Fall 2019 Haute Couture Show

Style darlings were out in force for the Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019 2020 show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday (July 1).

Gal Gadot: A subtle Moroccan mystique came out in this Dior Cruise 2020 dress embroidered in dark whimsy. Barely-there styling ensured the focus was on the swirl of patterning.

Araya A Hargate: The beret delivered plenty of Parisian spirit in this Dior ensemble with the sheer netted skirt answering an avant-garde call. I wish the shorts underneath had been the same tonal cream colour; as is, the white was too interruptive to the look.

Shailene Woodley: I love the retro-sophisticated flair of this Dior Haute Couture Spring 2019 turquoise silk and wool suit dress — a cape always makes for a dramatic impact, even if the fit seemed a little askance through the bodice. With that Dior bag in gold leather, I probably would have opted for metallic sandals instead of this black Dior pair.

Jenna Coleman: There was such a ladylike grace inherent in this Dior Cruise 2020 printed cotton wax dress with a Dior black leather belt and Dior shoes.

Olivia Palermo: The print of this Dior Cruise 2020 cotton wax jacket and skirt was slightly aggressive, so I found myself wondering if the two pieces would have been better as standalone statements — especially with the boxy shape of the jacket. Dior sunglasses and Dior shoes completed the ensemble.

Elisabeth Moss: Speaking of boxy, the silhouette of this Dior Pre Fall 2019 silk printed dress wasn’t as flattering as I would have liked. The palette was also a bit lacklustre, but the Dior Saddle yellow leather bag and Dior shoes did attempt to perk it up a bit.

Priyanka Chopra: Priyanka attended with hubby Nick Jonas, and while he wore a big flower emblazoned on his blazer, she took a more minimalist approach in a Dior Cruise 2020 green pleated silk dress, a Dior belt, and a petite Lady Dior black leather bag.

Natalia Vodianova: The emphasis on rich textiles in the Dior Cruise 2020 collection also came through in this embroidered black and yellow dress. I really love Natalia’s styling of this piece, with the nude barely-visible sandals, chic bun, and drop earrings; it all created a chic yet majestic vibe.

Coco Rocha: Opposites attract, at least in this Dior Cruise 2020 white cotton shirt paired with a Dior black and white embroidered tulle skirt and Dior shoes. The model is great about working her angles in sartorial tailoring fused with feminine motifs, as we see here.

Adria Ajorna: This Dior Cruise 2020 black silk dress was a lovely LBD to be sure, but it almost felt a bit too minimal, even with the Dior black Saddle bag and Dior shoes. Were you missing something, like a bold lip or earring, too?
