May 15, 2019 Runway To Red Carpet

Tiepolo Ball Hosted by Dior

The Tiepolo Ball took place in Venice, Italy on Sunday (May 12) certainly didn’t lack in drama.

The glamorous themed charity fundraiser was supported by a host of gorgeous celebrities, with all the ladies decked out in Haute Couture for the Dior-hosted event.

Sienna Miller: The ‘American Woman’ actress looked like she stepped out of a fairy tale in a Dior Haute Couture strapless bustier dress with hooded taffeta cape. The velvet touches and muted colour scheme add poetic drama without it becoming cartoonish.

Monica Bellucci: Another to successfully master a swirling cape, she turned heads in a Dior Haute Couture strapless dress and taffeta cape. The abundance of black pleated fabric provides a frame for her velvet ‘millefiori’ bustier and jewels. A Dior burgundy satin evening clutch completed the show-stopping ensemble.

Karlie Kloss: The supermodel fully embraced fantasy in a Dior Haute Couture ‘fioroni’ velvet strapless gown and black velvet cape. Dior Joaillerie Archi Dior earrings in white gold and diamonds and a Bar en Corolle ring in white gold and diamonds provided some twinkle. It’s the mask that will likely be the biggest talking point.

Amira Casar: Continuing the cape trend, The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actress put her own stamp on it in a Dior Haute Couture smoking jacket and frilled white silk organza shirt. The flamingo pink shoes were a surprise addition against the monochromatic colour scheme.

Tilda Swinton: The actress exuded a pristine regal mood in Chanel Spring 2019 Haute Couture. Her statuesque frame was needed to carry off the longline coat with hint of pleated skirt. The pink metallic boots brought some wit to the refined ensemble.

All the wicked witches of the east came to the party in full glam and Tilda didn’t get the memo.
This is fun,all of them looked nice actually

Given this was so obviously stage managed the lighting is terrible. Sienna photographed best just because you can actually see her while the black dresses got lost in the gloom and too heavy capes.

Monica looks great. All the others are meh. As ,mentioned Tilda looks like she was going someplace else. Amira’s outfit looks like a cross between a Dracula costume and a Pierrot clown.

I was totally into the scroll and loving each look until it came to a screeching halt when I landed on Tilda. Maybe she didn’t get the memo? So strange because she would have killed it! I think the other look great with Monica being my fav – what a beauty she is.

    I only like Karlie’s look.

To me, Sienna Miller is stunning. that face. BDOTW. Even if it is a tad bit “Little Greige Riding Hood”.

Love the first three goth fairytale Dior dresses with Karli being my favorite. Love Tilda’s suit but she does look like she’s at a different event. The pink booties should be burned.

Tilda in a long cape – should have been a slam dunk. This Chanel is very photocall.
I like the first three Dior looks with Monica my favourite, she has a bewitching vibe.

“Tilda in a long cape – should have been a slam dunk”

I wholeheartedly agree. I was disappointed she skipped the theme. Especially when it appears made for her.

Tilda looks like she’s at whole different event. Like the outfit on her but despise those booties. esp in that color. They take away from the look.

from the caped ladies, I think Karlie did best, surprisingly.
she kept it simple….whereas the other two ladies packed too much into it.
Monicas earrings and clutch and loose hair dont work.
Siennas cape and hair down are too busy.
