Legendary Queen of Makeup, Pat McGrath brought her extraordinary vision and divine imagination to Selfridges in London on Thursday (April 4), as Special Guest Editor for the department store’s major new multi-platform campaign, ‘A Technicolour Odyssey’, which I was very excited to attend alongside a host of celebrities.
Rowan Blanchard: The actress looked like a real-life doll wearing a Miu Miu Spring 2019 cut-out dress with fire-red Mary Janes to match that striking lip.
Kiki Layne: I was so excited to meet Kiki Layne, and I told her how I had been fan-girling her all awards season. I thought she was in London to promote her latest film, ‘A Native Son,’ but she was actually in town for Kate Spade New York, as their Spring 2019 campaign ambassador. So you won’t be surprised to know was in head-to-toe Kate Spade Fall 2019. The marigold shirt dress is brought alive with those snakeskin accessories. On a night so cold she needed that textured curly coat.
Maria Borges: It’s rare that I meet many girls the same height as me in heels, but Maria and I were probably the tallest girls in the room. With a body as perfect as hers, she didn’t really need to create an illusion of a tiny waist with this Mary Katrantzou perfume bottle-print dress. But this was the perfect dress for her statuesque frame.
Noomi Rapace: This PVC dress was quite a reserved outing for the actress who usually stands out with statement looks.
Stella Maxwell: Channeling her inner ’90s supermodel, I love how the biker jacket and Christian Dior ‘CD’ choker changes the whole look and feel of her glamorous Alessandra Rich Fall 2019 silk dress.
Elsa Hosk: Opting for a technicolour look of her own, the model wore a full Mulberry Spring 2019 look styled with a Mulberry ‘Harlow’ bag and ‘Poppy’ flats. If Stella was giving us an ode to the ’90s, then Elsa’s look was an ode to the swinging ’60s.
Zawe Ashton: The British actress told me she loves Roksanda as her pieces are so fun, easy to wear and work for just about any occasion. Looking at her in this Spring 2019 dress styled with a ‘Besa’ bag and Dorateymur Cabriolet leather mules, she’s right.
Shanina Shaik: The model wore a House of CB ‘Giorgiana’ dress, which gives an illusion of a wrapped skirt and top, that she styled with PVC mules.
