Front Row @ Miu Miu Fall 2019

Paris Fashion Week continued to march along with the Miu Miu Fall 2019 show on Tuesday (March 5). The front row of PYTs showed off the quirky, eclectic spirit of the designer range.

Elle Fanning: This dandelion dress had it all: sweetness, whimsy, sophistication, and sensual appeal. And, it all came together in radiant form on the young starlet.

Thomasin McKenzie: Sometimes the mismatched look can work; here, I’m not sure those hot-pink bauble-accented platforms did any favours for the tweedy blazer and wicker bag. But, I’m sure it was deemed too boring without them.

Amandla Stenberg: The use of platform shoes fared much better with Amandla’s ensemble, where all the sparky elements made sense — right down to the tongue-in-cheek ‘A-MIU-SE ME’ blouse. I love how the fiery-red hue permeated the entire look — including her lip.

Poppy Delevingne: Ladylike sensibility took a rebellious turn with this unbuttoned ruffle blouse and tea-length, slit-to-there skirt. The silver-metallic pumps ensured the sass factor.

Chloe Sevigny: This printed ruffle mini-dress had Chloe’s name all over it; and she wore it so effortlessly with tights and embellished sandals. We wouldn’t expect it any other way.

Zazie Beetz: Even with its schoolgirl charm — and the same sandals as Chloe — this ruffle blouse and frock seemed to fall a little flat amidst the more spirited looks on the front row.

Olivia Palermo: The mix-master herself did it again with this sporty-chic look. Somehow she made it all relevant, with the modern contrast between the racer-stripe trousers and double sweaters with the delicate lace cami and sparkling necklace.

Gwendoline Christie: I think the furry elbows are putting me off this structured-sweet pairing.

Pixie Geldof: I’m afraid I can’t subscribe to the application of those pink platforms here either; the same goes for the tiara.
