Front Row @ Valentino Fall 2018 Haute Couture

Socialites and celebrities were perched in the front row for the Valentino Fall 2018 Haute Couture show in Paris on Wednesday (July 4).

Nicky Hilton Rothschild: Nicky has always been a fan of Valentino, she even wore a Valentino Haute Couture gown to her wedding three years ago, so her attendance was expected at this event. This hot-pink Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 ruffled and embellished gown styled with a matching clutch might be a bit too girlish for some, but for me it fits with the Hilton style mold.

Amber Heard: While Nicky was channeling her inner Barbie, Amber was channeling her inner cowgirl in this western-inspired printed dress from the Resort 2019 collection. The boots really solidify the look.  Thankfully, that’s as far as she went when it came to accessorizing.

Tracee Ellis Ross: Like Mandy Moore, Tracee has attended several events this fashion week. Her stark white look which hails from the Valentino Fall 2018 collection is beautifully fluid; and the accessories help give the look an edge – but I wasn’t a fan of the heavy boots.

Olivia Palermo: Bold colour isn’t usually Olivia’s thing, but this scallop trimmed Valentino Fall 2018 high-low dress served to buck that trend. This is one of those rare occasions that I found her dress more interesting than her accessories.

Lucy Boynton: The English actress opted for the most twee dress of the bunch, selecting a look from the Resort 2019 collection. I have to say I’m not sure this colour palette is working out too well for her.

Alba Rohrwacher: The Italian actress and Valentino go hand-in-hand. Alba does not walk the red carpet in anything but Valentino – excluding one custom Prada look during Berlin Film Festival. Usually she goes for a more subtle, no-fuss approach, but this time it was all about colour and bold prints.
