Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2017 Bambi Awards

Diane Kruger joined Claudia Schiffer for the 2017 Bambi Awards on Thursday (November 16) in Berlin, Germany, where she picked up Special Prize of the Jury for ‘In The Fade’ with Faith Akin.

The German actress wore a gorgeous Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture two-piece which had this intriguing juxtaposition of being princess like yet edgy. Which has always been Diane’s red carpet M.O.

If I was going to nitpick. I would say that I wish she hadn’t over-lined the skirt as she did.

The runway version was perhaps too sheer, but I love the lighter-than-air ethereal nature.

She looks beautiful, but I always find women at such occasions wear too much jewellery. I would get rid of the ring, because it distracts me from the dress itself and the cold vibe of it does not match the very warm feel of the outfit.

How Diane does cool princess, very nice.

  3. Pheephee November 18, 2017 at 05:12 #

Beautiful. One of her recent bests easily.

This is one of her best look since a very long time. The dress itself exudes just the right amount of romanticism and edginess via the unpredictable disjointed bodice and skirt. The styling itself also brings a juxtaposition of girly from the hair do and edgy from the unique earrings. All in all, I love this look.

      Totally agree!

Breathtaking, spellbinding (!) I’m mesmerized. One of the top contenders for BDOTW.

I think this look makes her look thick…

    • meme November 17, 2017 at 15:20 #

So do I and I’m not feeling the top.

      • Maria F. November 17, 2017 at 20:00 #

        I totally agree.

    • Alba November 19, 2017 at 01:05 #

Agreed, the uncovered strip at the waist is also seems pointless.

  8. Evita November 17, 2017 at 14:21 #

I think that this is a great look but something about the waist isn’t sitting well with me,maybe I would have wanted a small belt like the little straps with the bows on top to give her more of a shape. Anyway I’m nitpicking, this is a BDOTW contender

BDOTW Nominee. she looks lovely and thank god she lined that skirt.

    • pinksugar November 17, 2017 at 16:44 #

I agree. The runway look was way too ‘naked’ to be tasteful for an event. While this top is a bit on the unflattering side, she still manages to sell it beautifully.

Whilst she may have gotten away with less lining I’ll take her version over the runway skirt any time. She looks fabulous.

Seriously. Haven’t we seen enough women’s underwear for a lifetime?

      • vicky November 17, 2017 at 16:05 #

        Amen to that!

Cool idea. But the skirt is to heavy. Like this ensemble more on the model. And it’s not happening very often if I am speaking about Diane.

She looks so beautiful that I want to give her a big hug and congratulate her just for how stunning she looks.

It might not be 100% perfect, but she does look pretty divine. Definitely love it.

This is divinity personified!! Diane Kruger is my long time girl crush and it feels great to see her regain her fashion queen reign in the best way possible!! She should wear Giambattista Valli dresses more, as this pale pink gown and the red hot number she wore last month really brings out Diane’s alluring femininity, HEAD TO TOE PERFECTION indeed!!

The skirt is a bit heavy, but I do like the overall feel of the look! She managed to pull that off.

I have to say that Diane + Giambattista Valli Couture are a great combination

  17. Charlotte November 17, 2017 at 12:26 #

This whole look seems a bit heavy but she looks lovely.

  18. james November 17, 2017 at 12:10 #

I was never a fan of her style but I have been enjoying her looks lately. I like the direction she is going. She looks lovely here.

    • JHH November 17, 2017 at 22:50 #

+1, though I only like the direction she is moving in with her evening looks. I am still underwhelmed by her day looks.
