Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

Comic con roundup 2

Jenna Ushkowitz: At the Entertainment Weekly party, she kept her look girly and fun in a Cynthia Rowley embellished baby-doll frock styled with the unexpected punch of LK Bennett colour-blocked black-and-white pumps for a fresh, forward finish.

Jennifer Morrison: The actress attended the ‘Once Upon a Time’ panel in a Lela Rose Spring 2015 black-and-white dress with abstracted floral embroidery, which she styled with the pop of red accessories including Bionda Castana bow-topped pumps, a matching clutch, and crimson lip. I love the pure enchantment of this look that combined modern, graphic appeal with feminine allure.

Maisie Williams: This Alexander Lewis Resort 2016 dress featuring an embellished and embroidered lacy mesh overlay was a lovely look for the ‘Game of Thrones’ starlet at the Entertainment Weekly party. She maintained an aura of chic youthfulness with barely-there makeup and a loosely fixed bun.

Comic con roundup 3

Bella Thorne: Giving her legs top billing in the ‘Scream’ press room, Bella wore a Vera Wang floral-printed romper with whimsical feather sandals. With tinges of romantic beauty, the look had potential, but it was sadly compromised by an ill-fitting silhouette and the too-short shorts that brought down the appeal by a few notches.

January Jones
: Like Sarah, January opted for an LBD for the 20th Century Fox Party. While the asymmetrical CG Spring 2014 dress with a back cutout may have come across as overwrought on some, she worked it with effortless allure. Loose waves and a red lip adding the final feminine touch.

Jaimie Alexander
: The actress balanced the golden glitz of her Elisabetta Franchi skirt with the mannish grace of the cream-hued Rebecca Minkoff jacket for a chic and sexy entrance at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party.

January, Jennifer and Jenna are my fave.
Bella is wearing freaking diapers but cute shoes.
I’m also over the nudist type sandals, it’s making stylists lazy it seems.

Please post what Jennifer Lawrence was wearing whlle promoting X-Men! She had three outfit changes: a white jumpsuit for the panel, a blue dress for interviews and then a white dress for the Fox party. Would love FC to ID them for me!

In a post above it sounds as if she won’t cover them, because there are no full lenght pics or just pics from the side. If you just want to know the designers of her latest looks, the white jumpsuit was Prabal Gurung Resort 2016 (look 8), the blue dress was Prabal Gurung as well, the white dress for the party was Calvin Klein Resort 2016 (look 6). And she wore a Giambattista Valli LBD for a Conan taping after the Mockingjay Panel.

Thank you for your reply! I just wanted them IDed so you have been a great help!

    LOVE January’s uber chic look!

Sarah Paulson’s hair looks like a shag carpet.

The rest of the bunch are a mess in the style department.

Love Jaimie and Maisie here. And despite the shoes, I much prefer Natalie in this dress to Shailene.

  5. alvaro_spain July 13, 2015 at 10:00 pm #

Sarah Paulson is my fave. And she wore other 2 looks too!!

  6. Christine July 13, 2015 at 9:54 pm #

I like Jenna and Jaimie’s look.

  7. Chris July 13, 2015 at 9:47 pm #

    Jennifer Morrison looks good!
    Jaimie looks alright.
I like Natalie’s dress, but not the shoes and Shailene wore it better.

  8. Ariya July 13, 2015 at 9:24 pm #

That is one sad little bunch. Only like maisie head to toe, Natalie and January sans their footwear and Jaimie without the choker.
Rest all are either too meh or too wierd (Bella’s diaper shorts and Sarah’s hair).

  9. Yeliz July 13, 2015 at 8:37 pm #

Jaimie and Jennifer are my favourites here.

  10. Nat39 July 13, 2015 at 8:35 pm #

January Jones is my fave, she is totally selling that little comic-con friendly dress, her hair and makeup are just perfect.

    • Nat39 July 13, 2015 at 8:37 pm #

..can’t get on board with Sarah Paulson’s hair.

  11. Evita July 13, 2015 at 8:32 pm #

Jaimie Alexander’s look is everything but I also would like to give an honourable mention to Jennifer’s look for the on point accessorising
P.S. Natalie Dormer looked so much better in the Roksanda look for the GoT panel than she did in the Mary Katrantzou look and I also found interesting Maisie’s look at the GoT panel and Sophie Turner’s Wang dress at the GoT panel and the outfit she wore to the X-men Apocalypse panel and J-Law’s white Prabal Gurung jumpsuit and the blue Prabal Gurung dress she wore when leaving SDCC and the white mini Calvin Clein dress she wore while attending the entertainment weekly party and Willa Holland’s look from the Arrow panel and the list goes on and on…I feel bad and like me asking this is going to sound ungrateful after the amazing coverage of SDCC you have provided us with, but is this the last of the Comic Con posts? 🙁

Aside from the men, yes it is. It doesn’t make good business sense to blow a months picture budget on one event.

There are no full length pictures of Jennifer Lawrence in the dress or the jumpsuit, the CK dress is from the side.

Yes the list goes on and on, but we don’t have the budget to cover everyone. No site does this for any event not even the Oscars.

  12. Alina July 13, 2015 at 8:23 pm #

Maisie is my favourite of the bunch.

  13. Bailey July 13, 2015 at 8:13 pm #

Love Jaimie’s look! Cool and edgy but still has a summer feel with the white blazer

    • dee July 13, 2015 at 9:01 pm #

I agree. Glad she wore the blazer. It makes her look more sophisticated.

    • Milla B. July 14, 2015 at 4:19 am #

      I love it too.

    • irene July 15, 2015 at 1:51 pm #

Her look is perfection. She is my favourite here! <3

  14. pinksugar July 13, 2015 at 8:11 pm #

What a messy bunch. Sarah is a bit too old for stomach cutouts IMO. Bella looks like she’s wearing a dirty diaper, Jaimie thinks she’s going to the club, and Natalie has on old lady shoes. The only decent one here for me is Jennifer, love her pop of red.

    • bfly July 14, 2015 at 2:27 am #

Agreed with every word. Must include January in the “messy bunch”, though too. That appendage that’s hanging out from the both of her dress is hellacious.
