Ashley Greene, Micaela Erlanger & Olivia Munn – 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon 2014

Ashley Greene, Micaela Erlanger and Olivia Munn attended The Hollywood Reporter & Jimmy Choo celebration of the Top 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood on Wednesday (March 12) in West Hollywood, California.

Ashley Greene: The ‘Twilight’ star opted for a more conservative look, donning a plaid-and-tweed blue-grey-and-black sleeveless Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2014 frock accented with black circular embroidery at the waist. Her ladies-who-lunch look was perfected with a black Jimmy Choo ‘Ciggy’ clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps.

Micaela Erlanger: Lupita Nyong’o’s stylist, who was ranked number three in The Hollywood Reporter’s ranking, wore a pretty bi-colour pink Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 dress with nude Christian Louboutin heels. You may remember that Lea Michele wore this same dress to the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

Olivia Munn: The actress stood alongside her stylist also wearing an Oscar de la Renta frock. Her pretty white sleeveless dress with floral embroidery was emphasized with green satin accessories including Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ pumps and a clutch featuring a brilliant bejewelled flower bloom, creating an enchanting statement piece. It’s been great to see her style evolve since working with Micaela.

I think the Munn’s dress is way too dainty for her. Save it for a Fanning.

I like Michaela’s look. Olivia also looks nice but the shoes are a bit heavy, gorgeous color but heavy.

Olivia is my favourite here, such a romantic look on her. Ashley’s dress ages her, and Micaela’s is too twee (especially with the matchy-matchy lipstick).

They all three look beautiful. I actually like Ashley’s a lot. The strong lines of the plaid and geometric print seem like a good look for her (imo).

Olivia is my fave minus those green pumps – not only the style is too clunky, it’s too much matchy-matchy green, feels forced. Micaela’s nude pumps would’ve looked much nicer here.
    Micaela looks sweet.

That dress looks 1000x better on Micaela than on Lea Michelle. They basically looks like 2 different dresses. She’s my favorite here with Olivia 2nd.

1000x? You’re kidding right? The dress looked fresh on lea michele. The dress looks too twee on micaela

    Michaela and Olivia look gorgeous

I loved the look of Olivia perfect for this event.
Ashley I think is just a cheesy boring dress, your hair looks like a very elaborate wig would have preferred something more smooth and natural.
Michelle: Her dress is very young I mean is a stylist must have used something more elegant and sophisticated

Olivia stands out imo. The dress is beautiful and her accessories complement it perfectly. I would have picked pink shoes but her green ones work just as well.

Micaela looks pretty too. I like her work on most of her clients tbh.

Not a fan of Ashley’s outfit.

All three look lovely for a luncheon. But Olivia’s shoes are throwing me off.

Ashley: little too matronly for someone her age. Wish she’d opted to pop the blue color woven into the dress with her accessories instead of playing it safe with the black. It would have livened up the look and made it more youthful.

Micaela looks sweet and fresh. She did an AMAZING job styling Lupita this awards season. Can’t believe she wasn’t #1 after such a home run. But glad she got recognition.

Olivia: love the dress, not a fan of the dark green satin pumps. They look rather dark and clunky for this ethereal dress. Wish she’d opted for a pointed toe pump, a d’orsay even, or a strappy sandal.

there’s a whole luncheon dedicated to the 25 most powerful stylists? self indulgent much?

    • justme March 13, 2014 at 3:33 pm #

It’s about time that stylists get some recognition.
How is celebrating their (hard) work more self-indulgent that the myriad of events dedicated to actors?

I also think it is good to realize that it takes a “team” to get these celebrities ready. I know, for me, it was refreshing to know that.

Why is that self-indulgent? A luncheon is the least they deserve, considering most of the public don’t even acknowledge their job. Stylists work on a day-to-day basis to make celebrities look the way they do (only a handful are self-styled), especially during awards season…arranging fittings, picking up dresses, meeting with designers, etc. Besides, it’s not as if the stylists themselves are hosting this event, it’s being organized by the Hollywood Reporter.

Love all three looks – feminine & beautiful!

    They all look gorgeous.
