Get The Look: Lucy Hale’s Teen Choice Awards Bold Green Beauty

Lucy Hale’s ultra-cool green beauty look was certainly the most memorable beauty moment at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan drew from the colorful tones of Lucy’s Mary Katrantzou dress for the evening and created a summery green eye look that dazzled on the red carpet. Here’s how she created this bold look:

SKIN: For this look, Kelsey didn’t want to mask Lucy’s flawless skin and chose lightweight products to correct and enhance Lucy’s already radiant complexion. She first corrected any redness on Lucy’s skin with Clé de PeauBeauté Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 in shades Almond and Beige and then applied La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation SPF 25 to the skin.

CHEEKS: Once a flawless canvas was achieved, Kelsey moved on to defining Lucy’s cheeks and adding a dash of color. For a soft contour, Kelsey used AVON True Color Transforming Contour Stick to the cheeks and blended for a polished look. For a hint of color, La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Rose Glow was seamlessly diffused onto the cheeks.

EYES: To create the mesmerizing green eye look, Kelsey opted for carefully applied layers of color. She began by applying Chanel Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in shade 824 Verderame onto the lids, blended into the crease and under the lower lash line. The creamy texture and lasting quality of this product served as an ideal base for the next powdered shadows to properly adhere and appear more vibrant. Kelsey then applied the shimmery emerald shade from the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Palette atop the cream eyeshadow. Finally, for a metallic, multifaceted finish, Kryolan Pure Pigments in Pure Envy was applied to center of the lids and the inner corners which made Lucy’s bright eyes pop. Kelsey finished off the glamorous eye look with a few coats of Avon True Color Love at 1st Lash Mascara which added lots of drama to Lucy’s naturally voluminous lashes.

LIPS: Kelsey wanted to keep the lips simple and didn’t want them to compete with the bold eye look. Interestingly, she opted out of a traditional nude and decided on sheer, glass-like textured lips.Kelsey coated Lucy’s full pout with Avon True Color Lips Glow Lip Gloss in Clear for a delicate lacquered finish.

2018 Teen Choice Awards

There were plenty more celebrities who joined Anna Kendrick, Nina Dobrev, Lili Reinhart and Lucy Hale on the red carpet for the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, California.

Bebe Rexha: When it comes to latex, it’s a hard sell. Especially when presented in a bubble-gum pink hue, like this custom Laroxx two-piece, and styled with August Getty Atelier Swarovski crystal mesh bra. The one thing I did love about this look were her Prada flame sandals.

Katherine McNamara: I’m usually a big fan of Katherine’s style, but this Emporio Armani Fall 2018 look styled with Casadei’s over-the-knee boots, APM Monaco and Ileana Makri jewels felt a bit dated.

Corinne Foxx: We’ve seen Corinne many times on the red carpet, but usually with her dad, Jaime Foxx, as her plus one. On this occasion she stepped out on her own looking beautiful wearing a Self -Portrait summer ready floral frock with Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Anna Kendrick In David Koma - 2018 Teen Choice Awards

I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that Anna Kendrick is opting for more sultry looks these days, and that form continued into the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, California.

On this occasion she wore a bubblegum pink and silver number from David Koma’s Resort 2019 collection.

I love how this look added a fresh dose of colour to this red carpet, when so many were opting for autumnal looks.

The slinky fit contributes to a sassy profile, while asymmetric panel detailing finishes the look on a modern note.

Giuseppe Zanotti silver ‘Kaley’ embellished pumps and super sleek tresses completed her look.

Joey King In Lei Lou - 2018 Teen Choice Awards

Joey King was one of the guest presenters at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, California, alongside Maddie Ziegler.

There were similarities to Joey and Katherine Langford’s black tulle tiered look, but Joey’s Lei Lou Spring 2018 dress, which boasting a romantic tulle construction, and flirty mini length in a vision of sharp tiers, felt more playful and perfectly styled.
