Heather Graham In Pamella Roland – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Heather Graham In Pamella Roland - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Heather Graham attended the 24th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

The actress wore a Pamella Roland Pre-Fall 2014 silver jumpsuit with a plunging neckline accented with a leather panel and leather straps.

I think two things should’ve happened here.

1. She should’ve worn the hair up to showcase the leather straps.

2. The look would’ve perhaps been better without the leather front panel.

Thoughts?

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Tilda Swinton made a return to the red carpet for the IFP’s 24th Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

As you know, I am a huge fan of Tilda; she can do no wrong in my eyes.

Here she continues to steer away from her signature androgyny to serve up yet another feminine design from her BFF Haider Ackermann, which course has an edge in its unique design despite its soft outward appearance in this nude hue.

What on paper should be washing her out only enhances her pale complexion.

Just a soft pink lip colour rounded out her look.

Uma Thurman In Alaia – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Uma Thurman In Alaia - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Uma Thurman attended the 24th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City, where she was MC for the evening.

The actress wore a classic design by Alaia, featuring the designer’s signature flared hem, which was also mimicked on the cuffs.

There is nothing at all wrong with this look, but I always crave more glamour for Uma.

This is nice but instantly forgettable; however, I am intrigued by what appears to be a gold chain detail worn under her dress.

Uma wore Chopard jewels.

Julianne Moore In Givenchy – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Julianne Moore In Givenchy - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Julianne Moore attended IFP’s 24th Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

The actress wore a Givenchy Spring 2015 black and white knitted dress with silk lace panels accented with metal studs, which made me scream “no, no, a thousand times no”.

Julianne is much better than this. The dress is so ill-fitted, unflattering, poorly designed and not up to her usual standards.

I weep for this look and hope that she turns things around quickly for her next red carpet appearance.

Scarlett Johansson In Saint Laurent – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Scarlett Johansson In Saint Laurent - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Scarlett Johansson attended the 24th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

On her last red carpet outing I was frankly bored, so I was delighted to see her vamp things up on this occasion, wearing a black mini dress decked out with sparkling embellishments.

While it’s not the va-va-voom ScarJo we all know and love, she’s serving up a lot more attitude and interest than she has in recent times.

There is almost a rock-chick vibe to her look, with the heavy set eyes and wet-look do slicked back to mimic shaven sides. It not what I would’ve ever predicted, but I love it from head to toe.

Saint Laurent accessories, including a sliver clutch and embellished pumps, completed this ode-to-a-rock-chick look.

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior – 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior - 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Ruth Wilson attended the 24th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (December 1) in New York City.

The British actress wore a Resort 2015 look from her go-to brand, Dior, selecting a Dior green and pale pink silk jacquard scarf top with embroidered black and white silk-blend high-waisted skirt topped off with a pair of metallic-silver Dior pumps.

There is always an edge to a Ruth Wilson look; here she channels that via the asymmetrical lines and directional updo, adding a ladylike polish with a pretty pink lip shade.
