Solange Knowles In H&M Studio Collection – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Solange Knowles strutted her style on the red carpet of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 24) at The Forum in Los Angeles.

The singer wore a sparkling tuxedo-inspired suit from H&M’s Studio Collection with black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a Stephen Webster bracelet and tooth ring along with various XIV Karat jewels.

You can always count on Solange to have both fashion and beauty fun, and she certainly doesn’t disappoint tonight. I’m loving this boxier take on the lady’s tux trend we’ve been seeing on the red carpet–it’s strong and sexy.

Her gorgeous natural hair, nude lips and orange false lashes offer the feminine touch to the ensemble.

So tell me: Are you as obsessed with this look as I am?

Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Laverne Cox attended the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA on Sunday evening (August 24) at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

The ‘Orange Is The New Black’ star stunned in a sparkling Marc Bouwer Fall 2013 asymmetrical frock, which duly showed off her super-long pins.

She worked the sharp, architectural shape of the leggy design to her advantage, also premiering an edgy new blunt bang.

An Avery Libertine hand chain by Johanna Johnson was the right move on this occasion, where other jewels would have competed with that cascade of shimmering sequins. I don’t even mind the use of plain black pumps here.

The lines of dress may have been better served with a simple updo, or perhaps I’m still just adjusting to that heavy fringe.

Sarah Hyland In Kaufmanfranco – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Sarah Hyland looked sultry on the red carpet of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 24) at The Forum in Los Angeles.

For the occasion, the actress opted for asymmetric creation for the Kaufmanfranco Fall 2014 collection, worn with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, a Jimmy Choo clutch (not pictured) and some chunky gold jewels.

Sarah has been wowing us with her red carpet looks recently, and this one is also quite lovely, though I wish she had tailored it just a touch, since she has such a tiny frame.

A sleek center parted hairstyle, and dark lips are a fun and edgy compliment to her look.

Lucy Hale In Sachin + Babi & Zimmermann – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Lucy Hale In Sachin + Babi - 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Lucy Hale was one of the first to hit the red carpet at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA on Sunday evening (August 24) at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

As host of the MTV VMAs pre-show, the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ kick-started the night in a flirty fuchsia and black cocktail dress, before changing into this more dramatic ensemble.

The Sachin & Babi Spring 2014 black leather-inspired halter top perpetuated the cropped trend, most recently seen at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards. But, rather than echo the runway’s sheer look, she wore a slightly sweeter, floral-printed full skirt by Zimmerman.

Of course, plenty of edge was worked into this little number, with peekaboo grommet-like seaming throughout the skirt, styled with a few knuckle rings and silver sandals.

A beautifully teased ponytail, a smoky bronze eye and sultry mauve lip rounded out her romantic, rock-star look.

Jessie J In Vintage Halston – 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA

Jessie J hit the red carpet at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 24) at The Forum in Los Angeles.

The singer wore sea green Grecian-inspired Vintage Halston gown with subtle Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

This feminine look isn’t the norm at the VMAs, but I think the change of pace is nice, and it’s certainly low cut enough to still offer plenty of sex appeal.

Her sleek black locks, amped up eyelashes and nude lips complete the look.
