Ariana Grande Wore Mugler To The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards

Ariana Grande wasn’t in New York City, so she was unable to grace the red carpet for the 2020 MTV VMAs on Sunday (August 30), but, much like her 2019 Grammy non-appearance, the singer didn’t let the opportunity to dress up go by.

Showcasing what would have been her red carpet look from her home, the singer captioned her Instagram post:

happy VMA day ::) so excited for u see our first rain on me performance tonight ! @ladygaga is fucking incredible and i’m so honored to share this moment with her and u all ? also just want to say thank you to @MTV being so diligent in making this such a safe & healthy experience for all of the performers and crew involved. it’s so greatly appreciated and i can’t imagine how difficult it was to figure out! see u all so soon! ?

We’ve grown so use to seeing the singer in puffy gowns, that this Mugler Fall 2020 leather bodysuit and mini skirt combo felt instantly fresh.

At first I was thinking that I would have preferred something more summery from Ariana.

But I feel that mostly came down to the Baby Spice hairdo.

The edgy nature of the outfit and the hair are a bit of a mismatch to me.

And the desire for something summery was further escalated when I saw the white Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels.

Vhernier earrings completed this brand new style moment for Ariana Grande which I think I’m onboard with.
