Menswear Weekend Roundup

Menswear Weekend Roundup

The past few days were packed with a range of menswear looks, heavy on the formal tux angle with a few more colourful options thrown in for good measure. Here, a look at the weekend’s handsome set of guys.

Zachary Quinto: A presenter at the 68th annual Tony Awards, the actor dressed for the occasion in a Thom Sweeney three-piece, black wool tuxedo, paired with a white cotton dress shirt and black silk bow tie. David Yurman black onyx shirt studs pulled the look together with an added note of polish.

Djimon Hounsou: Bringing a breath of fresh blue to the red carpet of the ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Los Angeles premiere, Djimon wore his beautifully hued Calvin Klein Collections suit with equally well-styled accessories, including an incredible pair of navy Christian Louboutin loafers, Martin Katz cufflinks, and a Montblanc timepiece.

Daniel Radcliffe
: In attendance at the Tony Awards supporting his play, ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan,’ Daniel was dapper in an Ermenegildo Zegna Made-to-Measure one-button, satin peak-lapel tuxedo in midnight navy—a great departure from the traditional black colour. A matching bow tie, white dress shirt, and KG Kurt Geiger ‘Anton’ shoes finished the look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Men11

It’s not only the men at the Met Gala who can scrub up well when required; these three actors will be giving them a run for their money in the best-dressed poll on Friday.

Jon Hamm: On-screen or off-screen, Jon always looks very dapper in a suit. The actor attended the LA premiere of ‘Million Dollar Arm’ on Tuesday (May 6) alongside his young ‘Mad Men’ co-star Kiernan Shipka wearing a dark-brown two-button peak-lapel three-piece wool suit with a printed tie and Christian Louboutin ‘Education’ shoes. Factor in that day-old stubble and we have a swoon-worthy look.

Joe Manganiello: The actor attended the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday (May 3) looking very debonair in his Ermenegildo Zegna black one-button shawl-collar tuxedo and bowtie styled with David Yurman cufflinks and shirt studs.

‘For The Love of Cinema’ Dinner Party Menswear Roundup

'For The Love of Cinema' Dinner Party Menswear Roundup

Here is another quick menswear roundup from the fellows who attended the ‘For The Love of Cinema’ dinner party hosted at Urban Zen in New York City on Thursday (April 17).

James Marsden: Sporting a buzz cut, which doesn’t in any way diminish his charming good looks, the actor wore a navy Ermenegildo Zegna suit and a complementary shirt which really enhanced his eyes. Brown lace-ups completed his look.

Dev Patel: The British actor went for a more laidback look, wearing a printed navy tee shirt and black jeans smartened up with a burgundy blazer, which has always been a great colour on him. Sadly, though, for a dinner party his shoes look a bit scruffy.

Anton Yelchin: The actor wore a Dior Homme deep-blue wool-and-silk notch-lapel tuxedo styled with a white cotton shirt and black leather derbies, opting to go sans tie. You may remember that Jeremy Renner wore this same suit to the ‘American Hustle’ LA screening late last year.

Here is a roundup of some guys who have taken to the red carpet for various premieres this week.

Michael B. Jordan: Following the Oscars, the actor attended the ‘Prossima Fermata: Fruitvale Station’ premiere held at Cinema Barberini on Thursday (March 6) in Rome, Italy. Wearing a Lois Vuitton suit, he kept the look relaxed with a checked shirt with no tie.

Jason Bateman: On Wednesday (March 5) the actor attended the ‘Bad Words’ premiere wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture look featuring a black double-breasted suit, a white shirt and double-monk-strap shoes.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Mens 27 Feb

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Adrien Brody: Joining Saoirse Ronan on the red carpet for’The Grand Budapest Hotel’ New York premiere on Wednesday (February 26), Adrien made quite a splash on the red carpet wearing a shiny Dolce & Gabbana three-piece red suit with an open white shirt and black shoes. It’s not often we see men don this colour on the red carpet, but if one man can pull off a shiny red suit, it’s Adrien Brody.

Michael B. Jordan: The actor attended the Vanity Fair and FIAT Celebration of ‘Young Hollywood’ on Tuesday (February 25) wearing a perfectly fitted Dior Homme two-button notch-lapel Prince of Wales check suit, a grey-and-blue windowpane-plaid check shirt and a navy-blue-and-burgundy pinstripe wool tie. All the elements work, blending together to create yet another BDOTW-worthy look.

Jeremy Renner: On Saturday (February 22) Jeremy attended the Costume Designer Guild Awards, where the actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture classic tuxedo while presenting an award to Amy Adams. There’s nothing quirky about this outfit, and that’s okay. Opting for a classic tux is sometimes the best way to go.

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some gentlemen who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (February 6).

Joel Kinnaman: The actor joined his beautiful girlfriend Olivia Munn on the red carpet for the ‘RoboCop’ Stockholm premiere. After donning black for the London premiere, he delights wearing a rich burgundy-hued Ermenegildo Zegna two-button notched-lapel suit, keeping it tonal with a darker shirt and even darker tie. The look was styled once again with his Kurt Geiger London ‘Hornton’ shoes. Of the two looks, I much prefer this one, not only for the colour, but also this look feels a lot sharper.

Edward Norton: Also wearing Ermenegildo Zegna, the actor kept it classic in a navy two-button shawl-collar suit while attending ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale premiere alongside Tilda Swinton, Lea Seydoux and Saoirse Ronan. As great as he looks, my eyes immediately go to his wife Shauna Robertson’s dramatic ombre strapless gown. He wore double monk shoes by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture.
