Katy Perry In Valentino Couture – 2014 Grammy Awards Audience

Katy Perry In Valentino Couture - 2014 Grammy Awards Audience

Katy Perry was spotted in the audience wearing a different dress to the Valentino Couture gown she wore on the red carpet for her arrival at the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26).

This time she wore a rich burgundy tulle tutu mini dress from the same Valentino Spring 2014 Couture collection featuring a snake motif wrapping around the vampy frock.

I have to say I much prefer this look for Katy as a “Grammys” look. Fun and flirty, and more in tune with both the spirit of the event and quirky Katy.

Ruby stone jewels, Christian Louboutin patent-leather pumps which matched her dress, and wavy tresses completed her look.

Which look did you prefer? The red carpet gown or this look?

    This one for me too.

The hair is not appropriated for this dress in my opinion.

Katy ruins a good dress. This will look great on Taylor Swift though it may not her style.

I agree. She should not be allowed to wear Couture.

I agree with your statement Sanya.

I actually didn’t mind her red carpet look. Apart from the sleeves. This seem more after party

At Valentino they told that the gown with the music notes took 1600 hours of embroidering to make! No wonder I love it so much! So the red carpet look is my winner. But I also love the blue daring dress she wore at after parties! A good fashion night for darling Perry!

      +1

    This was a better choice.

I prefer this look on Katy too. First of all, it doesn’t look as gimmicky as the other one did. That gown was ethereal and Katy is anything but. But this is more like it. The colour is gorgeous against her skin and the snake motif accentuates her waist beautifully whereas the fit of the other gown was horrendous and made her look wider than she is. My only nitpick here is her hair which should have been up. Well, shouldn’t complain too much. One is only allowed to ruin one dress per night. I had wished to see the other one on someone like Keira Knightley.

    Neither?

I’m underwhelmed. The hair is bad and I don’t like de dress…

I like the story told – she went from the sweet Valentino, had her witchy performance, and well now, clearly the snake had entered Eden. :-D

This is leaps and bounds better than her red carpet look.

While I’m not a huge fan of this dress, the beautiful color and the quirk factor seem definitely more her than the red carpet dress. It’s got a little more sass.

The dress is stunning. The color on her is particularly fantastic

I’m glad she got rid of the unnecessary sleeves. She looks great here, I think both of her looks were fine.

  15. Chloe January 27, 2014 at 20:20 #

She looks stunning and I love the shoes with it. I just with she would’ve saved this dress for a red carpet, and not just to sit in the audience.

*sigh* whoever keeps giving her Valentino couture needs to stop. Stick with Enmanuel Ungaro and Blumarine Katy…

Really like the dress look but I think a slick ponytail would have been a better choice over the waves.
