As co-host of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards with Tina Fey, Amy Poehler had all eyes on her as she walked the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California in her first ensemble of the night.
Her cool-girl Stella McCartney black tuxedo suit with a cropped sleeve and pant contrasted with Tina’s more feminine L’Wren Scott entrance.
But the plunging neckline, sparkling lariat necklace and strappy Charlotte Olympia shoes offset the androgynous edge.
The final touch was a low-placed side bun.
In a sea of floor-sweeping confections, Amy’s ‘le smoking’ spin definitely made a statement.

perfection.
I hope she gets listed in the best dressed poll!
I thought she looked great. A little quirky, which suits her. I suspect this will be a love it or loathe it look.
For some reason, I really like this look.
+1
+2 I think it’s because she’s selling it, and it seems like her even though we don’t normally get this from her.
I love the idea of this for Amy, but the double crop of both the sleeve and the pants throw this off for me. I loved her dress for the broadcast, though.
this is the best she s looked in ages!!!!! loving it!
I loved this, but it still doesnt make my best dressed list.
I like the idea of this, but the cropped pants are not doing her any favors…
+1
I don’t like the plunging neckline (hate when they do that with tuxes) or the double cropped look. And frankly, even if I liked the suit I like dresses on the red carpet!
Agree that she is just too short for cropped pants to work. If only they were 2-3 inches longer she would have looked much sleeker. Otherwise, she looks fabulous!
+1. As a shorty myself, I know to stay away from crop-carpi pants. They just make you look short. A longer pant would have made Amy look taller and leaner. But I love everything besides the pants length.
From the knees up, I love this look.
Below though, absolutely appalling.
Triumph of styling. The accessories make this outfit work.
Totally agree. A very needed breath of fresh air in midst of so many dresses.
So true! She looks great.
I love the necklace against her skin, Amy was my only “WOW” moment of the Golden Globes.
I don’t like the suit on her as it doesn’t make her look lean enough, or her styling – the blazer over bare torso and a glamorous necklace – not a good idea.
her shoes are running the show. I like this look, unusual for awards show but still great
Are her shoes Charlotte Olympia?
Amy looked great all night. As did Tina. Lovely to see them both and I wished they had more air time on the show.
