Lexi Minetree Wore Prada On The Today Show
Lexi Minetree was spotted in New York this morning as she continued promoting Elle with an appearance on the Today show.
Continuing the expected pink theme, the actress once again leaned into her connection to Elle Woods. Wearing an archival 2012 Prada pink skirt suit, the look immediately recalled the pink Prada dress Reese Witherspoon wore earlier this week while promoting the series.
So this was a case of Lexi channelling Reese Witherspoon channelling Elle Woods.
This particular shade is far more saturated and sugary, which feels perfectly in keeping with Lexi’s own approach to the character. The coordinated styling only reinforced the theme, with her Le Specs Dream Lover sunglasses seemingly nodding to Elle Woods’ pink sunglasses from her first day on the Harvard Law campus in Legally Blonde. A crystal-embellished Brandon Blackwood Slim Trunk bag added another hit of pink.
Sophia Webster butterfly-accented PVC mules completed the slightly creased look.
At this point, the Elle promotional tour is making one thing very clear: pink is not simply a colour choice, it has become the visual identity of the series. Lexi may be stepping into Elle Woods’ world, but she is doing so through her own lens, often relying on archival fashion to bridge the gap between Reese Witherspoon’s original portrayal and this new generation of Elle.
