Front Row at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 Mens Show

It was yet another packed front row for the Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 menswear show at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (which doesn’t have air conditioning). Here is a look at the notable attendees.

Finally, Shorts

Tyriq Withers was easily my favourite here. The tailored shorts finally felt like someone had dressed for the weather, even if I’m still undecided about whether he should have opted for white socks or no socks at all. The beige socks didn’t quite land for me.

Charles Melton immediately made me reconsider my white socks argument. But overall, I’m not sold on this look, which feels like a collection of good pieces that never come together. Keep the jacket and sunglasses, lose the rest, and start again.

Stylish, But Not Practical

Skepta and Josh Heuston both looked good in their Louis Vuitton jackets, but good luck surviving a Paris heatwave in those. Those coated jackets must have felt like portable saunas.

Keeping It Light

Jeremy Allen White and Quavo had the right idea by stripping things back. No coats, no knits, no blazers. It was also refreshing to see Jeremy step away from his usual black-and-ivory Louis Vuitton palette.

Tied Together

Jackson Wang and BamBam proved that a tie doesn’t have to mean business. Both used one to sharpen their contemporary Louis Vuitton looks without making them feel overly formal.

Sharp Tailoring

Gong Jun and J-Hope showed two different takes on Louis Vuitton tailoring. Gong Jun kept things soft and understated, while J-Hope’s pinstriped suit had a little more personality thanks to the snakeskin-print tie, trainers and statement bag.

Oversized Tailoring

Missy Elliott was overwhelmed by her oversized suit, while Daniel Brühl proved that oversized tailoring only works when the proportions are kept in check.
