Florence Pugh Goes Romantic in Vivienne Westwood at the Emmys

After her stunning Max Mara moment in Venice last week, Florence Pugh was back on the red carpet for the 2026 Emmy Awards, where she was a guest presenter.

We have been saying for years that we will never tire of those classic Vivienne Westwood gowns, but we also love it when a signature is given a fresh update.

The corseted silhouette is instantly recognisable, but the lavender tulle overlay changes the feel of the gown. Draped around her arms before falling into the train, it gives the familiar Westwood hourglass silhouette a softer, more romantic feel without losing the structure that makes these gowns so good.

The look was styled with a stunning Bvlgari High Jewelry necklace and ring.

If you’re anything like me, you probably weren’t sure about the hair at first. My initial feeling was that the spiky updo felt a little disconnected from the softness of the gown. But the more I look at it, the more it makes sense. It taps into the rebellious spirit of Vivienne Westwood and Florence herself, which makes the contrast work.
