Saja Kilani Closed Rome Film Festival in Alaïa

Canadian-Jordanian actress Saja Kilani attended the closing ceremony of the 2026 Rome Film Festival, where she served as a jury member.

Considering everything we know about Alaïa, you might be surprised to learn that this burgundy velvet double-breasted suit hails from the label’s Fall 2026 collection. After all, when we think of Alaïa, we tend to think of sculpted silhouettes, body-conscious dresses and statement knitwear, rather than traditional tailoring.

But I love seeing this side of the label, and velvet, especially in such a rich burgundy shade, will always have my vote. We often see velvet tailoring worn as a standalone jacket, but Saja makes a case for the full suit.

Simple black pumps and gold earrings completed her look.
