Carrie Coon’s Acne Studios Look Is a Tale of Two Halves

Carrie Coon attended the Season 4 premiere of HBO’s The Gilded Age in New York City last night, wearing a look that brought two very different fashion ideas together.

The actress wore an Acne Studios Spring 2027 ensemble, with a glossy, futuristic-looking blue top contrasting with a voluminous floral skirt that feels like a nod to the period dressing we associate with the series.

It’s an interesting combination, and in the context of The Gilded Age, it does make sense, but I’m struggling to buy into it.

My issue is the yellowish staining on the skirt, which, unfortunately, reminds me of urine stains. Without those discoloured patches, I feel I would have been completely on board, because Carrie looks beautiful, and the styling with the coordinating blue pumps and statement earrings works.
