Sandra Hüller Channels Old Hollywood in Gold Chanel

Sandra Hüller returned to the red carpet this evening for the global premiere of Digger at Leicester Square Gardens in London, following her Cannes Film Festival appearances promoting Fatherland earlier this year.

The German actress has been a Chanel ambassador since Cannes, and I have loved what this partnership has produced so far. This Chanel Resort 2027 gown is another beautiful chapter in what is quickly becoming one of my favourite actress-and-fashion-house pairings.

Yes, this is our second camellia-embellished Chanel gown in a week, but the mood couldn’t be more different.

It’s the Old Hollywood glamour that sells this gown to me, particularly the draped shoulder panels, which give the silhouette that sense of classic screen-star glamour.

The long black drop Chanel earrings were also a smart choice, providing the only real contrast against all that gold.

Some might feel the shade sits too close to Sandra’s hair colour, making the overall look a little too one-note, but I love it. There’s a warmth to the gold that works beautifully on her, and the gown has enough detail and shape to ensure the monochromatic effect never falls flat.

Sandra’s Chanel run continues to impress me.
