Daisy Edgar-Jones Goes Archival in Armani Privé for Berlin
Daisy Edgar-Jones attended the Berlin premiere of Sense & Sensibility, held at Delphi Filmpalast on Monday.
Instead of dressing for the period of the film, the British actress dipped into the archives, wearing an Armani Privé Spring 2005 gown.
Nearly all the pictures of Daisy were taken from the side, and I can understand why. The beaded shoulder straps, with their cascading chains and tassels, are the defining feature of this gown and deserved their moment.
Twenty-one years on, the design still feels remarkably current. The liquid silver satin and fishtail silhouette are classic Armani Privé, but it is the contrast between the simplicity of the gown and the intricate shoulder work that makes this such a special archive pull.
After her custom Vivienne Westwood look at the London premiere, the white Stella McCartney dress in Dublin, this is another strong choice for Daisy.
The Boucheron necklace was a smart addition, with its diamond and pearl drop subtly echoing the beaded shoulder detail.
