Lili Reinhart’s ‘The Love Hypothesis’ Press Tour Style
It has been a busy month for Lili Reinhart, who has been promoting her new rom-com, The Love Hypothesis, with a wardrobe that has leaned heavily into the archives. From early-2000s couture to playful New York street style, there has been plenty of variety along the way.
London Premiere
Lili started the month in an Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2001 Couture gown, and what a statement. While the lilac slip dress is simple in silhouette, the oversized turquoise paillettes and fringe detailing give it plenty of personality, especially styled with metallic turquoise Giuseppe Zanotti Indigo Braid sandals.
It’s one of those archival pieces that still looks contemporary.
New York Premiere
For the New York premiere, Lili went into the archives for this Elie Saab Spring 2004 Haute Couture gown, and honestly, it is one of the prettiest gowns I have seen.
The pink and green combination is beautiful on her, but it’s the intricate embroidery that makes this such a special find. There’s a romantic quality to the gown that feels right for a rom-com premiere, while the long train gives it the occasion it deserves.
Aquazzura Tell Me sandals completed her look, which I am adding to her Hall of Fame.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
The archive streak continued on Jimmy Fallon, where Lili wore an Emanuel Ungaro 2000s dress.
You may remember that last year Lili gave us one of the best late-night looks of the year. This patchwork of florals, paisley and embroidery could be seen as slightly chaotic, but prints like this are very indicative of the label and that era. It has all the personality you want from vintage Ungaro, but I can’t say it’s my favourite look here.

Out In New York
Lili then switched to Valentino for an outing in New York, wearing a lilac lace-trim bodysuit with turquoise lace shorts.
I’m here for it all. The wintry hues, the unapologetic combination that shouldn’t work but somehow does. I’ll even admit that this is probably the first time those Rockstud pumps have worked for me. After her floral, romantic looks, I really enjoyed this breakout moment.
She completed the look with a Valentino Garavani Spike bag.
Out Again In New York
For another outing, Lili wore a Fleur du Mal Juliet lace mini slip under a Nanette Lepore polka-dot trench coat. Rom-com fans may recognise the latter.
The coat was worn by Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30, making it a particularly fun choice while Lili is promoting a romantic comedy of her own. I love when a press-tour wardrobe includes a reference that doesn’t need to be taken too literally, and this one feels especially well judged.
Jimmy Choo kitten heels and Elisa Johnson Dakota sunglasses completed the look.
