Angelina Jolie Wore Tom Ford & Calvin Klein Collection To The ‘Couture’ New York Screening
Angelina Jolie was back in the spotlight as Vertical celebrated her new film Couture with a screening held at The Whitby Hotel in New York on Tuesday, marking her first appearance promoting the project since the Paris premiere back in February.
Black remains Angelina’s default setting, and this Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann strapless draped gown sits comfortably within that familiar territory. Minimal, fluid and understated, it is exactly the kind of look we have come to expect from her in recent years.
What elevated the moment for me, aside from the earrings, was everything that happened before the reveal.
Angelina effectively gave photographers and fans a two-for-one fashion moment, arriving in a Calvin Klein Collection Evelyn wool coat from the Fall 2025 collection layered over the dress. The sharply tailored ivory coat created a striking contrast against the black gown beneath.
The coat-and-gown combination also provided a welcome break from the all-black formula, even if only briefly.
Bottega Veneta Sardine Aviator sunglasses added another touch of quiet glamour as she made her way into the screening, while Tom Ford patent leather Vertigo ankle-strap pumps completed the ensemble.
The gown may have been classic Angelina, but the coat reveal gave the evening a little extra intrigue.
