Celebrities at ‘The Man I Love’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Here is a red carpet roundup from The Man I Love Cannes Film Festival premiere, where the dress code ranged from archival glamour to stripped-back minimalism.

Ribboned Romance
Chloé Zhao wore a red-and-burgundy satin ribbon-effect Dior Haute Couture gown that continues her exploration outside of her usual understated lane. The layered texture gave the dress remarkable depth and an artful quality.

Minimalism, Finally
Irina Shayk gave us a rare minimalist, non-sheer moment in The Row, and honestly, I welcomed the change. The ivory satin slip dress relied entirely on cut and fabrication rather than the shock value that has been her M.O. at this festival for a while. The simplicity felt refreshing.

Architectural Drama
Cindy Bruna wore Issey Miyake, delivering one of the boldest silhouettes of the night. The sculptural burgundy mini dress with the lacquered peplum detail had a futuristic sharpness that felt almost otherworldly on the Cannes red carpet. The emerald Chopard earrings only heightened the drama.

Prada Archive Revival
Elodie wore a champagne-hued Prada silk jacquard column dress featuring a delicate foliage motif, with the neckline and silhouette inspired by the Prada Spring/Summer 1997 collection (which we have seen on Uma Thurman). Knowing the gown was created using original fabric from the Prada archive made the look even more special. The simplicity of the column shape allowed the textile itself to become the focal point.

Soft Sparkle
Ester Expósito wore an embellished champagne Armani Privé gown styled with Messika jewelry.

Classic Westwood
They say you can’t go wrong with Vivienne Westwood’s corseted dresses, and I’m glad Heidi Klum didn’t prove that belief wrong. Yes, there is a peekaboo bra element happening here, but that has always been part of the Vivienne Westwood vocabulary: sensuality mixed with dramatic draping, structured corsetry, and unapologetic glamour. On Heidi, it delivered all of that.

Unbuttoned Elegance
Tom Sturridge wore a Dior tuxedo, opting to forgo a bow tie with his white cotton wing-collar shirt. I liked how the scarf introduced an old-Hollywood flourish that made the classic tuxedo feel slightly more individual without losing its formal elegance.

No Notes
Rami Malek wore Zegna, reminding us yet again that impeccable tailoring and confidence will always win on a Cannes red carpet. The proportions were clean, the fit was flawless, as always, and the simplicity worked entirely in his favour.

Pearl Pin Precision
Luther Ford proved once again that Saint Laurent remains unmatched when it comes to razor-sharp evening tailoring. The clean black suit paired with the high-buttoned white shirt carried an old-world formality reminiscent of aristocratic evening dress from the early 20th century, where immaculate collars framed impeccably tailored silhouettes. The crystal-and-pearl brooch pinned to the lapel added a refined decorative finish.
