Cannes Film Festival Photocall Looks Of The Day
Here is a roundup from some of the photocalls which took place within the last two days during the Cannes Film Festival.

Dark Romance
Matières Fécales feels like such a perfect fit for Milena Smit because the label exists in that same slightly unsettling, unconventional space she naturally gravitates towards stylistically. There is always something a little dark, a little offbeat, and completely uninterested in conventional prettiness about her fashion choices, which is exactly why this look worked so well on her. The sharp black tailoring balanced against the exposed structure and moody attitude gave the outfit a rebellious energy that feels entirely aligned with her aesthetic.

Riviera Brights
Her co-star Victoria Luengo wore a Loewe Fall 2026 look featuring one of my favourite colour combinations: yellow and navy. The sunshine-yellow knit instantly lifted the mood, while the navy contrast through the neckline and trousers kept the look crisp and graphic. This felt like exactly the kind of fresh, easy styling I want to see for a sunny Wednesday on the Riviera.

Finally Summer Tailoring
Quim Gutiérrez delivered one of the strongest menswear moments wearing Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann. The baby-blue pure silk suit will instantly be memorable, not only for the colour, but also for the matching draped scarf which added a touch of old-school Riviera glamour. This is exactly the kind of confident, unexpected menswear glamour I’ve been waiting to see from the men at Cannes.

Colour Expansion
Usually, we only get black Saint Laurent looks from Charlotte Gainsbourg, and while she did wear black for the opening ceremony, I’ve really enjoyed her exploration into other colour palettes over these last two outings. This rich mix of rust, cinnamon, and burgundy tones felt surprisingly warm and autumnal for Cannes, yet somehow it still worked thanks to Charlotte’s naturally undone styling. The oversized coat, micro shorts, and knee-high boots gave the look that signature Saint Laurent edge without relying on their all-black formula.

Sharp Contrast
Louise Bourgoin wore Loewe by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, proving that sometimes the smallest detail can completely shift a tailored look, and in this case it is the vivid red collar changes the entire mood, giving the outfit a slightly playful, almost retro undertone, while the white pumps added a crisp finish that lifted the darker palette.

Tailored Contrast
Renate Reinsve wore a Louis Vuitton look styled with LV Devon boots and pieces from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection. I love how the masculine structure of the blazer was offset by the punchier blue tones running through the shirt and skirt. It stopped the tailoring from feeling too corporate and gave the photocall look a sharper, more directional edge. The tinted sunglasses sealed the whole thing with a subtle nod to ‘90s minimalism.
