Vicky Krieps Wore Bottega Veneta To The ‘Diamond’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Vicky Krieps attended the Diamond premiere during the Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening, while I was out celebrating my football club Arsenal winning the Premier League.

The actress, who is also an ambassador for Bottega Veneta, wore this look from the brand’s Fall 2026 collection.

I know what you’re thinking. At first glance, this looks like someone draped a shaggy throw blanket over tailored separates and decided to commit to the idea. But Vicky has never been a play-it-safe kind of person, and this is a glowing testament to her often outside-the-box approach to fashion.

It is unusual, undeniably bulky, and exactly the kind of look that would overwhelm most people. Yet Vicky carries it with the kind of effortless nonchalance and quiet confidence that makes it feel oddly believable on her.

Yes, there is a lot of volume, but I think she is pulling it off because she never looks consumed by the clothes. There is always an ease to the way she wears even the most unconventional silhouettes.

I did toy with the idea that this look needed slimmer trousers, but I actually think the carrot silhouette helps balance the exaggerated proportions through the top half. A narrower trouser might have made the outfit feel too top-heavy, whereas this shape keeps the look visually grounded.

I know this will be a hard sell for many of you, but I love her when she is in this kind of form. Cannes can quickly become repetitive with endless shimmering gowns, so I appreciate someone willing to take a genuine fashion risk.

Bottega Veneta Sofia pumps and Chaumet jewellery completed her look.
