Celebrities at the ‘L’Inconnue’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
The L’Inconnue (The Unknown) premiere took place during the Cannes Film Festival this afternoon.

Sharp Suiting, Soft Finish
Léa Seydoux completely took me by surprise with this custom Louis Vuitton three-piece suit. We are so used to seeing her in soft gowns and delicate embellishment on the Cannes red carpet, so this sharper direction felt refreshing. The precision of the tailoring gave the look authority, while the sculpted silhouette still maintained a feminine outlook. It had the elegance of classic menswear, but never lost sight of her effortless French style sensibility. Louis Vuitton High Jewelry completed her look.

Glamour With Attitude
Farida Khelfa wore a Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann grass-green and black perforated patent trench coat. The glossy finish and sculpted shape made this impossible to ignore, but Farida has the kind of presence needed to carry a statement piece like this. The icy blue Tom Ford pumps added an unexpected contrast which worked perfectly against the saturated green. Pomellato jewellery completed her look.

Classic Cannes Menswear
Niels Schneider wore a Louis Vuitton navy double-breasted suit styled with patent leather LV Jazz derbies. I love the modernity of the shawl collar, but the trousers were a bit too long. However, that doesn’t stop me from loving this look.

More Saint Laurent
Virginie Efira is a Saint Laurent girl through and through. She never seems to consider other labels anymore. On this occasion, she delivered the kind of sleek black gown Anthony Vaccarello has practically made his signature on the red carpet. Between the plunging neckline, thigh-high slit and sharp shoulders, the look balanced sensuality with structure. As this was a late-afternoon premiere, the sunglasses felt entirely expected.
