Anne Hathaway Wore Versace On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Anne Hathaway made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, where the actress spoke about being a proud New York Knicks fan, playing a pop star in her new film Mother Mary, and the whirlwind of filming The Devil Wears Prada 2.

This press tour has kept us on our toes, with a multitude of looks built around distinct ideas, but here Anne strips things back in a Versace suit, and it works. There’s something refreshing about seeing her step away from the theme aligning moments and lean into clean tailoring.

The oversized proportions, the ease of the unbuttoned shirt, and that sharp pop of colour from the pocket square all come together to create a look that feels natural on her. It doesn’t try too hard. It plays to her strengths with a sense of ease that allows her presence to carry the look.

I’m not convinced the Aquazzura Aimée Sandal Plateau platforms are the right match for this suit. But even with that notes, I like this look.
