Sarah Pidgeon joined her co-star Grace Gummer on the red carpet for The Walt Disney Company’s Emmy Season Toast to TV at Soho House Holloway in Los Angeles, where her series Love Story is being campaigned ahead of the September ceremony.

Looking at the actress in this Givenchy by Sarah Burton Pre-Fall 2026 black bow dress, my first impression was that this felt like an edgier direction for her. But reflecting on the Love Story press tour, I realised the minimalism I had associated with her style was more a reflection of her on-screen character, Carolyn Bassett.

The dress itself plays with perception. At first glance, it reads like leather, but it is in fact a coated knit, giving the piece structure and sheen without the rigidity you expect from leather, with the cascade of bows running down the centre softening the finish.

Styled with Givenchy’s Boudoir Bow black leather sandals, the look stays within the same design language, reinforcing the brand’s focus on detail.
