The Australian actress, who is no longer working with Elizabeth Stewart, appears, in my view, to be working more directly with fashion houses, with less of a traditional stylist-led approach. That might explain why some of you feel her recent red carpet looks haven’t been landing as they once did, as the consistency that comes from working with a stylist is no longer there.

On this occasion, she worked with Peter Copping for Lanvin, selecting a high-neck black gown from the Fall 2026 collection.

If you’re anti-belly button, the cut-out lattice insert at the waist may be the sticking point, even with the crystal rhinestone embellishment. Personally, I think it adds a modern edge to an otherwise classic silhouette. The softly draped bodice offsets the sharper, geometric waist detail, creating a balanced finish.

Even in a more pared-back look, she’s still a scene-stealer.

Lanvin’s Midnight Step mules completed the look.
