Soft-Focus Fantasy

When I saw Anne Hathaway in this Susan Fang Fall 2026 Pastel Air-Flower dress, crafted from layers of pink, blue, and white tulle, I immediately questioned whether this is a preview of what’s to come for The Princess Diaries 3 press tour. It leans heavily into a storybook aesthetic – borderline Cinderella, especially when paired with those PVC (glass slipper) heels. I did ask for Anne to step away from the cool-girl aesthetic, but this feels like a complete swing in the opposite direction. That said, with blossom season in full bloom in Japan and a local designer in focus, the choice makes sense on paper. Still, the shift is so abrupt that I’m having fashion whiplash once again, This press tour continues to feel inconsistent, with each appearance pulling in a completely different directions that I’m so confused.

Miranda Energy

Personally, I’m far more taken with Meryl Streep. Yes, the Saint Laurent Fall 2025 satin petrol-blue coat skews oversized – but looking at the runway, we know that is intentional. What makes this work is the attitude. The rich petrol blue tone delivers impact, while the relaxed silhouette offers a refreshing change from the sharper tailoring she has been favouring. Styled with that unmistakable Miranda Priestly presence, Saint Laurent SL 901 Howl sunglasses and a stunning brooch, it feels self-assured and entirely in character driven.
