‘Mary Poppins Returns’ London Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature 'Mary Poppins Returns' London Premiere

Meryl Streep and Emily Mortimer joined Emily Blunt on the blue carpet for the premiere of ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ at Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday (December 12) in London.

Meryl Streep: It’s been a year of musicals for the Oscar-winning actress. First ‘Mamma Mia Here We Go Again’, and now ‘Mary Poppins Returns’. Elie Saab is known for his embellishments, however on this occasion this look doesn’t possess any of the princess flair we immediately concur up in our minds. What I love most about this look, is the degree of timelessness that’ll outlast the Pre-Fall 2018 season from which this hails from.

Emily Mortimer: Opting for her third embellished dress of this promo tour, the actress wore a Valentino Spring 2019 dress showered with sequins that dance on this short sleeve dress ensuring Emily made a strong entrance onto this red carpet. You’ll be glad to see her lining reach the hem of the dress. It certainly pleased me.

‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ World Premiere

There were many more lovely ladies who attended the London premiere of ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ on Monday (July 16); joining Lily James, Thandie Newton and Amanda Seyfried.

Jessica Keenan Wynn: Opting for a black velvet Cristina Ottaviano Fall 2018 dress, I have to say I’m loving the drama despite the heavy – not so heatwave friendly – fabric. She totally sells the look to me mostly because of her hair and makeup.

Meryl Streep: That blue. I was not only entranced by her Marni Mazarine blue asymmetric dress, but also by the Marni satin embellished pumps and a Swarovski embroidered belt which enliven the look further. Garrett Leight California Optical shades completed her look, along with a yellow Edie Parker velvet – yes velvet – clutch.

Meryl Streep In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 Oscars

Meryl Streep was back on the red carpet at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California, joining Sandra Bullock, Gina Rodriguez and Jennifer Lawrence.

She is nominated for Best Actress for her work in ‘The Post,’ and celebrated the occasion in Dior Couture.

I salute the legendary actress for always staying true to her classic style. This rich red gown is timeless and sophisticated. Plus, it showcases her figure in an elegant fashion. So, I was upset to see the too-long skirt.

More successful were the coordinating fabric belt and Fred Leighton jewels which wrapped up the style beautifully.

Meryl Streep In Alexander McQueen – ‘The Post’ London Premiere

Meryl Streep was in London yesterday evening (January 10) for the premiere of ‘The Post’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square.

Some people wouldn’t put the words “Meryl Streep” and “modern style” in the same sentence, but that’s what this Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 suit with its striking silhouette and luxurious fit portrays.

I love the subtle drama imbued with the draped detail and the supreme elegance of it all.

Meryl is, and always will be, a class act.

Meryl Streep In Vera Wang – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Meryl Streep attended the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) with director of The Domestic Worker’s Alliance Ai-jen Poo.

The Oscar-winner, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for her role in ‘The Post’, wore a black off the shoulder tuxedo inspired gown from Vera Wang Collection.

I love the simple elegance of the look and how it sends a powerful message without losing any of its soft femininity.

Meryl Streep In Prada – ‘The Post’ Washington, DC Premiere

Meryl Streep attended ‘The Post’ Washington, DC premiere on Thursday (December 14), joining Alison Brie and Sarah Paulson.

I was anticipating the legendary actress would wear an elegant gown or suit, so this Prada Spring 2017 ensemble was a delightful surprise.

Instead of the maximalist styling from the runway, she went for a modern interpretation of suiting with a white blouse and gray cropped trousers to match the long coat.

The feather-bedecked coat would have made an exuberant statement without the accessories, but I adore the way she pushed the envelope with the darker cap-toe shoes and the sparkling clutch.
