Meryl Streep Wore Celine To ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Seoul Premiere

When you’ve worn three red looks in a row for The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour, the smartest move is to pivot, and that’s exactly what Meryl Streep did for the Seoul premiere this evening.

Following her all-red Prada look at the press conference and photocall earlier in the day, she hands the red baton to Anne Hathaway; what should have been a seamless relay didn’t quite land on the other side.

Even though Meryl is wearing a completely different look in this black Celine draped top and high-waisted trouser set, accented with a leather belt, you can copy and paste what I said for the earlier look, because the sentiment still applies.

She’s absolutely running away with this press tour, and it’s striking to see how she continues to elevate her signature tailoring into something so modern, while still feeling completely true to her own style, nothing here feels forced or out of place.

Black Celine Minnie pumps, shades, and David Yurman jewels gave us another standout moment.
